Only one substance.

chazzysaw;
My view is that there is only one substance, so eternal substance and physical substance are the same entity with the same properties and obey the same laws of physics.

To take your example of fire; Fire is the substance in a different state of motion distribution. To the universe, heat has no meaning; it is like saying you have a "Hot Car" because it can go 180 mph. Heat only determines the radiant wave nature of unstructured matter (substance of the universe).

All life is of the same substance as the inert entities of this world. The question arises: "Is life only due to a specific condition of the motion of matter, or could it be that the physical substance itself is a living entity and we are but its eyes?" Some members of ToeQuest have stated this view with a religious spin on it. I only consider it with a science view.
