    The Hazards of T.O.E. Questing

"Discouragement of natural rebels is no service to a democracy. But (some) people are so scared to allow anyone to foster anything resembling a savior complex, that the dynamism which goes with a reforming zeal is being damped down and lost to the world. Great deeds can only be achieved when we are more than our ordinary little selves. When we are lent wings, we should not reject them, of ourselves or of others."

"All we represent to them, man, is somebody who needs a haircut."

"Oh no. What you represent to them is freedom."

"What the hell's wrong with freedom man, that's what it's all about."

"Yeah. That's right. That's what it's all about. But talkin' about it, and bein' it - that's two different things. I mean, it's real hard to be free when you are bought and sold in the marketplace. A'course, don't ever tell anybody that they're not free, cuz they're gonna get real busy maimin' and killin', to prove to you that they are free. Oh yeah. They're gonna talk to you and talk to you about individual freedom - but (when) they see a free individual, it's gonna scare 'em."

"That don't make 'em runnin' scared."

"No. That don't make 'em runnin' scared. That makes 'em dangerous."

I well remember the film Rascal,in those days I went on a few trips (know what I mean)
the ones where you don't any bags! Since then however I have realized that one can find
a natural high from knowing where you came from, and understanding that life is eternal.

The hazards of toe questing as I see them are that whatever you post here or on any other forum is likely to be either ignored, commented on either negatively or positively,
and that you need to remain true to yourself and accept whatever comes your way.

Surely that's what we do don't we Rascal?

    regards michael.

    Dear Michael:
I've tried not to let fame and fortune spoil me.
    Those advantages may yet occur.
In the meanwhile, I'm enveloped in itinerant, mendicant, vagabond obligation.

Best regards to you, my friend.

The strength of one's convictions, whatsoever those convictions may be.

To share one's thoughts on any subject in an open forum is to invite all possible replies.

Sharing and respect for all of those potentials is a marvellous possibility.

One hazard of a TOE is the use as a weapon of mass destruction. But as square of energy, the TOE can only describe a constructive vacuum of cold fusion contrary to E is equal to m c square which described a destructive hot nuclear fission.

Or if I may simplify by borrowing a saying,

"Power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely."

"Knowledge is power", I believe is the precursor to the former statement.

For the above reasons, those who may know, may not be at liberty to share.

I agree with your assessment of the dangers yet I think we shall succeed or fail as a species, without a weapon of mass destruction.

We are not the only players in this game....

Nothing is changed thru the processes of destruction and creation except to alter the balance of directional invariance properties of spacetime where and when it is physically possible to do so.

    Conceeded.

However, for the present, I enjoy far too much pleasure in my present form, place and time to wish matters otherwise, except that others could also enjoy pleasure as they conceive it.

It does seem that many derive much satisfaction from romping through the forums of this site, many thanks to it's creator.

Does that make Robert a "god", small "g" of course?

Hi Rascal....although there has been great social discouragement of the natural rebel, I think Toequest proves the natural rebel is alive and thriving. The dynamism that exists in the reforming zeal is absolutely an imperative to avoid the stagnation of the world That dynamism also holds the ideals of a higher vision of possibilities essential to human survival, ongoing hope and evolution.

The hazards of questing are many. If you come here with a structure of beliefs fully stabilized it can be for some a rude awakening as they are shaken and dismantled, it can also be the motivation to stand strong on your own convictions. For me it has been a refining of my ability to understand that perspective is diverse, keeping your balance in that refining leads to the motivation to avoid clashes and effectively and respectively learn how to smooth out the distance between opposing perspectives. Learning how to hold our ground in that endeavour is simply learning the art of true communication...
Questing is an excellent way to always leave yourself open to the magic of wondering....
