In my observation of community dynamics, truly this would seem the case.I couldn't help but say to [Mr. Gorbachev], just think how easy his task and mine might be in these meetings that we held if suddenly there was a threat to this world from another planet. [We'd] find out once and for all that we really are all human beings here on this earth together. ~Ronald Reagan, 1985

When threatened by a common concern, how quickly can we come together and co-operate in the face of a perceived threat to our way of life.
Unless so concerned, we pursue our separate paths, in competition for ways and means, rather than co-operating to the benefit of all.
What is war, save competition on a larger, often national, scale?
All venues, where some gain and some lose could be considered a form of war.
Some might even term such as 'evolution'?
So many paths to the same destination,
would, but I could, experience them all...
