Relativity is a mathematical method of describing the behavior of fundamental matter. What do you mean when you say relativity is stronger or weaker? The mathematics work, the interpretations are what we should be questioning.

Re: Relativity

Additionally Relativity has also been proven scientifically... There might be exeptions. But fundamentally Relativity is a strong law..

Re: Relativity

Every theory has a lacunae. Exceptions are there in every rule. Even relativity will have exceptions

Quite right David; Relativity is not an “Absolute Theory”; it’s relative and also subjective. It only predicts what we should expect to perceive or measure; not what really is.

Dipayankar;
In physics, the final theory will not have any exceptions. Exceptions indicate there is something wrong with the theory or the theory only has limited applications.

Re: relativity

With an impressive series of predictions, confirmed by an abundance of experiments, theory of relativity is one of the most powerful creations of all science.

However, it could be that future tests won't be equally successful.

I think there is always the possibility that someone will do that particular experiment or that particular observation, which falsificates one or more predictions of the theory.

Experiments could bring to light a deviation of what theory of relativity predicts.

Such a small crack in the bulwark of theory of relativity could just be what is needed to catch an experimental glimpse of the properties of spacetime, conceiled up to now.

Re: Matter is everything in a void:

Unfortunately too many scientist and science writers promote the notion that spacetime is an entity of reality. It is only a mathematical scalar used to maintain the invariance of the equations. That’s why I say the math works but the interpretations don’t. There seems to be a lot of FM in the interpretations.

This just aside... in cases like this, we have to do with scientific writers of genius, experts on TOE.

Be careful what you and who you ask for. I always thought the Unification Theory was a Theory of Everything; it seems many of these 12 page rants on Toequest are caused by the high standards we judge TOE's, clearly we cannot have our cake and eat it too,

is a groundwork of a Toe, such as a Unified Field Theory, considered a TOE? Or is the TOE primarily a collective work from many scientific and non-scientific sources?

Basically I'm confused about semantics. Grand Unified Theory, Theory of Everything, Unification Theory, which one is at the hiearchy and which one is at the bottom?

Is Unification a baby step to the TOE? OR is the Toe a baby-step to Unification? Clearly it is an arbitrary battle of words but I'd like to hear what you have to say, collectively.
