    Re: 3 Pages of Electrifying Arguments About Gravity, Science & Politics

    Hi Kent;
    We are not truly adversaries, only opinionated with a few differences. I have studied most of the alternative thinking when they were still in hardcover form. (before the internet) I find it fascinating and amusing when I see someone presenting new ideas that I know are at least 200 years old; it’s only new to the individual that has not done his research. What I find most disconcerting is the fact that the novice seem to believe what some irresponsible science authors promote as fact when they are nothing more than theory or brainstorming ideas; Dr. Greene to name one.

    Now to comment on your “Revised Listing”; Matter, Motion, Mass (inertia), energy, and Dimensions (space-time). I have a thread called “Dimensions and Entities” where I strongly point out that people are treating dimensions as entities. (also in my blog) You have only ONE entity in your list; MATTER. Motion is a property of matter, mass is a measurement of a property of matter called inertia. Energy is also a measure of a function of matter in a state of motion. (thus mass and energy are equivalent) In my concept that matter systems must have a fixed quantity of motion, mass translates to the quantity of uniform motion and energy translates to a change of uniform motion to chaotic wave function motion or another state of uniform motion. Energy is a measure of the change of motion. Space-time is only a term of mathematical methodology in SR and GR.

    Hope this helps you take a different perspective when evaluating alternatives. Don’t make the simple into something complex. The complexity is in the translation of the language of math and science to the language the rest of us use.

    I have a general rule that when I read something that infers scientist are stupid, I automatically assume the author is quite ignorant.

    Review the movie "Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy" if you think those ideas are new or original.
