No offence Dip; “Yes - you are!” What does how you feel have to do with the facts? Have you read anything about BEC’s?

Degeneracy implies motion (which we have supposidly eliminated).

That would be the culmination of motion and hence the culmination of matter / energy..

Why do you assume degererate energy levels in the motionless state?

When subatomic particles cease to move, they do not absorb or emit any energy which makes energy redundant..

But energy is motion - it would stop thus the frozen state remains intact as that state which it was in when frozen/locked. Nothing can interact/react beyond that point of last interaction/reaction which also locks in energy.

Hi Tina;
Energy is actually “matter in motion” so in a way you're right. Since energy is conserved, this would also infer that motion is conserved. The problem with our thinking is that we tend to believe that we can change the quantity of motion of material systems; we can’t! We simply change the type of motion within the system, not the total quantity.

Re: Motion - 12-27-2007, 11:38 PM

Probably when motion ceases, we probably encounter an event horizon kind situation where the last light at an infinitisimal motion is frozen and when the motion completely stops the entire system disintegrates. What we however keep on seeing is the last light that reached us...

Not convinced.

But have a look at this - we all should be aware of the new theories on the Electric Universe - Plasma Cosmology.
