I didn’t mean to nit-pick; to me all energy is just a measure of the motion state of matter.
Oh yeah..... I got it. Thanks.

Hi Mohan;

David is correct in a sense that the only energy is kinetic energy, the energy of movement. Potential energy is just that, potential. It's the apple sitting in the tree, it has potential energy because of it's position, and gravity. The real energy doesn't manifest until it starts falling, kinetic energy the energy of movement.

Best to you,

Pat

May be it does not manifest but it is there nevertheless. It should be there at least to uphold the energy conservation theorem.?!

I agree it is there, it's just stored energy. And I'm sure you are right, it's part of the conservation laws of mass and energy.

Best,

Pat

So without any mass wont there be any force?

Thats strange. I had an idea that even energy causes force..

Yes energy or mass can have force. Without energy or mass there cant be any force.

i think it depends on how or what we are viewing gravity as, i like to view gravity as particles. it seems to make more sense to me.
the shifting theory of gravity for me is how gravity works.

Do you mean the gravitons swoarg or is there some other properties you associate with these particles.
I dont know the shifting theory of gravity, what is it?
