Not even one moth changed its color. There were already some minority moths of another color. When predators easily picked off the obvious moths (due to the environment), those of the minority color were mostly saved by not being so visible, which then became the majority, since they bread more often with their like color kind and then became the majority… until the environment changed again.

Evolution uses and chooses from the random interactions going on around it to create what it needs for more complexity.

Again using examples of outcome's in favor of or against the cause, is dumb. The fact that there is genetics, is all the proof needed for the fact that there was a choice to be more then before.

actually Evolution , while it is based on the environment around it , can and does become less complex

All in all, for evolution via natural selection, the natural environment may change, of its own natural causes, which is a whole nother field, but it doesn't bear in mind or have awareness of the effects on the species.

Death, then, is the natural disposer of the rest from the best—those remaining 'selected' to stay alive for the time being.

Other natural events may occur to organisms, as well, internally, say, causing too much fur, which could be a hinderance, but if an ice age arrives…

That's about all there is to evolution, but it's been voted the best idea that anyone ever had.


Some don't like the smell of the natural, as it goes against what they have imagined; but, it's even worse than that since all that we have seen is exactly as it should be as according to the natural, with a big zero for anything beyond the natural ever seen.


The simple naturally goes to the more complex: gravity brought protons together to form stars which produced the lighter atoms, and, some types of stars couldn't take it any more and exploded, spewing out the heavier elements.

Some of the atoms had affinity for bonding into molecules, (others, like gold stayed as they were) which in turn resulted in more complexity, etc.

Something like a Great Universal Mind that is Aware would be an end result that is yet to come, not the fundamental state that simplicity occupies.

And how about the 'walking stick' insect that looks like a twig?

Don't even get me going about Australia, whose isolation had it develop creatures that don't walk or anything like it, but bounce like a ball.
