I have been doing that for years now,use bus,and train,and the occasional plane,
got rid of the car long ago.

That make two of us. If everyone in the whole world follows suit then certainty visible effects of global cooling will be seen.

When I see rush hour traffic,nose to tail,each with just one driver,and three empty
seats,it makes me realise the waste that abounds.

Here in the U.S.A. a solution is implemented by creating highway lanes for High Occupancy Vehicles (HOV). Still some can get away by setting a few dummies in the backseat.
