Max Planck, said that “all matter originates and exists only by virtue of a force which brings the particles of an atom to vibration which holds the atom together. We must assume behind this force is the existence of a conscious and intelligent mind. This mind is the matrix of all matter.“

This post has far more to do with our evolving understanding of the world around us, but I found it of interest, and I wanted to put it somewhere for others to contemplate.

A perfectly preserved shoe, 1,000 years older than the Great Pyramid of Giza in Egypt and 400 years older than Stonehenge in the UK, has been found in a cave in Armenia.
Once again, an interesting find.....

I could not decide where I wanted to post this little gem, and so have thrown it onto one of my older threads, as it has an interface with evolution and human intervention.
This video demonstrates some remarkable 'human' traits in the observance of an Orangutang rescuing a baby coot.
Certainly gives one pause for thought as to just how much intelligence and emotion animals may be capable of, IMO.
Granted, we don't know how the story ends, yet the Orangutang seems to be displaying the capacities of curiosity and considerable gentleness toward the little bird.

A hook crafted from a small shell gives evidence that our ancestors were catching fast moving fish a long time ago.
http://news.discovery.com/history/an...en-111128.htmlPrehistoric humans living more than 40,000 years ago had mastered the skills needed to catch fast-moving, deep ocean fish such as tuna, a remarkable new archaeological find has revealed.
In a small cave at the eastern end of East Timor, north of Australia, archaeologist Sue O'Connor from the Australian National University has unearthed the bones of more than 2,800 fish, some of which were caught as long as 42,000 years ago.
