Just in case I've got you wrong again. I was not referring to Humans .. but all life.

Ummmm .... please note .... I am not after an argument .... if you feel strongly about it I will take the hint and just desist posting here and view as a spectator ... OK ??

    So ?? .....

A statistical connection can be shown that the larger the brain the greater the intelligence. I am not referring to humans but all life in the comparison.

As well, a statistical connection can be shown between an increase in intelligence of Hominids and an increase in brain capacity of hominids. (Brain capacity in cubic centimetres, as measured in hominid fossils)

Homo Habilus was the first to show a marked increase in Brain size (cubic centimetres) , and, (co-incidently ??) the first to show a marked increase in intelligence. Can supply proof if needed here.

I can also supply a good circumstantial deduction why they trend together... a material reason ... if you need further

Can you show the converse, or a differing trend ... with proof or reasonable evidence ?

    Re: scraps of evolution

Greg, you just don't seem to get my thinking at all. I think and write entirely logically and mathematically 90% of the time. I see you as the far too intuitive in your responses. You don't even seem to recognize where your meta-differences are with me. I'm not looking for any argument from you either, but I don't see any other path, when your personality in print, is so not offensive to me, but opposing to what I consider intelligent. I don't think you're doing it on purpose__It's just who you are. Here in America we'd call it the city-boy talking to the country bumkin. No offense, but I see you as a scientific bumkin... It's not that you're not smart, you're just trying not to be, imo... I have no argument with bio-evolution, except in certain areas, where it tries to assume to know more than it knows__that's all...

I told you to ignore me if you couldn't deal with me. I didn't write to you. I wrote to Antonio__you responded. So, what am I supposed to do, except rebut what you write I do not agree with. Evolutionary biology is not omniscient. You seem to treat it as though it is. That post of AlphaNeumeric's in Lorrina's thread best describes it__that's my position. It ain't set in stone. You can't set it in stone. Most of it's still theory. A lot of it's science. There's a long way to its completion... Imo, you take it far too intuitively, i.e., emotionally invested...

Greg, I'm not mad at you. I think it's kinda funny, but funny don't translate over the web__No matter what anyone does...

A statistical connection can be shown that the larger the brain the greater the intelligence. I am not referring to humans but all life in the comparison.[Sorry, I don't agree. I've seen far too many little headed people with big intelligences, especially women, who just happen to have smaller brains than men, and usually far more intelligence. You see, your trouble is you are not specifying, like I've tried to point out to you. It's a major point of intelligence. Women always specify__It's one of their main traits.]

As well, a statistical connection can be shown between an increase in intelligence of Hominids and an increase in brain capacity of hominids. We have no scientific measurement method.]

    TRAVELOGUE

This is off-topic, sorry Anontio, but I just can't help myself here...

    Hi, Lloyd.

Don't want you having the wrong impression here. I think you're confusing Greg's love of the great Australian outdoors with his city origins. Brisbane and its immediate environs has a population of around 2 million. It's hard to find an up-to-date photo, the place is growing so fast...here's how the skyline looked a few years ago:

(BTW, I've worked as part of the design and development team on a number of those tall buildings - we call them skyscrapers down here).

Just a few miles down the road is our closest sleepy, little resort town, called the Gold Coast with a permanent population of 1/2 million, but as you can see there's lots of space to put up a few visitors. This is just a sample of its 44 mile coastline in all it's over-blown glory:

Although, Brisbane is also my hometown, I'm currently living another sleepy little town called, Auckland, New Zealand (pop around 1.4 million). It has the honour of having more sailing boats per capita than any other country in the world and, like Australians, Kiwis love(!) their leisure time:

Australia and New Zealand are islands and share no land borders with any other country. The combined populations of both countries is around 25 million and they enjoy a combined land area of around 5 million square miles.

The populations of both countries are far too busy enjoying the beauty and isolation to get too hung up on anything...and, generally, speaking the uptight ones end up in the USA, or Britain, or anywhere but here...so, who knows, maybe Greg is just playing with ya...?

I hope this puts things in context for you
But nothing's lost. Or else: all is translation And every bit of us is lost in it... - James Merrill

Hi Sugarbear....just a question! Would you like to borrow my shepherds staff??? Being mindful of course that one does not hit with the staff, it is just waved around so as to clear any environment similar to BS baffles brains. It is available upon request you know....smiles...no offense to anyone but confliction is like noice, it disrupts a good discussion....

You know your just a little offshoot, just our little tiny brother. You forgot to mention that nearly all that 25 million are over here in OZ. You know what they say, 'Will the last person to leave NZ please turn out the lights'. ........ rotflmao
