    Re: enzymes

    This post may be controversial.

    1. I think that evolution generates the tree structure cf. the Tree of Life (cf. phylogenetic Tree of life) and Tree of Knowledge.

    2. That the process of generating a novel tree structure start -> finish leaves a trail of prime numbers in its wake.
    Acknowledging SteveA and Antonio Lao.

    3. That the trail of prime numbers can be considered the animals from stomatolite (start) to human being (finish) upon the Tree of Life.

    4. That the Tree of Knowledge has mind-states which mirror the prime numbers (animals) found on the Tree of Life.

    5. That the Hindu idea of being re-born as an animal (reflecting how one has behaved during one's time on the planet) is true and is explained as follows:
    -- re-born relates to one's child
-- one's behaviour reflects the state of mind which one has reached (some point on the Tree of Knowledge)
-- that the parent imprints (to be interpreted as magnetizes) his/her child to the 'animal prime' point which one (the parent) has reached on their own Tree of Knowledge (via a epigenetic mechanism)
... ... ... thereby ... ... ... providing a vaguely sensible biological mechanism explaining away this (particularly interesting) aspect of the teachings of Hinduism.

Pretty sure that our (human) high simple sugar-based diet is the reason for our currently observed pattern of precocious sexual behaviour in the young; there's a known effect across the Tree of Life between sugar consumption (food intake) and fecundity.

Reproduction when the environment favours progeny survival.

    So ... ... ...

    - evolution to a fixed geometric progression
    - the prime number as a generic checkpoint which is seen during the developmental part of the tree structure
    - relatively little variation occurs post formation of the 'prime' specimen

    - reproduction requiring a mechanism for memory with epigenetics representing a level of memory (applicable on first the physical) and thereafter the higher mental level
    - where on the physical level it offers far greater resilience to environmental modifications than the much longer time-frame required by the process of mutation-selection (particularly so in higher organisms).

    ~*~

The virus mutates quickly - human beings not so; it doesn't make sense for lower organisms to be more resilient to environmental insult than man -
    - which is where epigenetic modification of gene expression comes in.

Epigenetics on the physical level can (for instance) tone down metabolic rate to allow the individual to survive periods of famine
    - for parental epigenetic modifications to handle hunger being passed onto progeny in order to offer their progeny that little bit more of a chance of survival
    - (in this particular example) ... ... when born into a famine

    ... ... similarly ... ... and now ... ...
bridging the body:mind duality divide of body into mind ... ... ...

    - fairly sure that this (epigenetics) became the mechanism (magnetization, if you like) permitting inheritance of intelligence (cf. rebirth and karmic balance).

All of which should be understood as a very sensible biological mechanism for (in effect) 'banking' and then 'passing on' local gains.

Mutation:Selection takes far too long (especially in higher organisms)

    - where I think I'm suggesting that the formation of the primes on the Tree of Life signifies no further particularly significant benefits being realizable-able by classical species level genomic mutational change.

Time independence: [∂E(g)]²=[∂F(a)×∂r(a)]·[∂F(b)×∂r(b)] and Mass independence: a(tr(t)=c²
