Stalky,

It's incredible how all of you theistic people agree into how to attack atheists. It's like a global union, sort of United Relgions. But I have learned at my young age that when those who are enemies unite against a bigger common enemy, iti s because they fear it. Just like when all-time enemies france and england united against Nazi germany, because, still gernmany in the middle of the thirties being small, they fear it's extreme power.

First, those who give claims without any oargument are those in your side. I clame nothing, just the opposite: I claim that you cannot claim simply like that. It's not about me proving that religions are/show weakness in society, it's about all of you proving the opposit. And then we can discuss properly!

After all, I'm not that much of a mathematician, or of a natural scientist, or a human scientist. Or a theologian, or a mythologian..... I'm a philosopher, that's all, one who loves and persues wisdom, by observing the world and thinking about it.

Another post will come later.

Religion the world's problem - 01-06-2006, 10:30 AM

Religion is the world's greatest problem. It is the evil tool that is destroying all that it controls. It is the root of hate, bigotry, racism, segregation. It is man's excuse to classify people, on who is worthy and who is not.

Religion is not all that bad, only ignorance, and I see ignorance in both science AND religion. Too quickly we often speak without first analyzing.

Yes religion is that bad. I agree science does have its ignorance but science base its findings on facts and when the facts are wrong it corrects itself. Religion on the other hand is base on primitive belief, customs and superstition. I am not analyzing or judging, just observing.

but what if the truth about science is that for it to be complete it must be based on a consistent inconsistency? This would negate the very premise of science and would thus imply that belief is important for understanding a complete theory. That is why Science behooves itself and in the end it will fall prey to it's own making.

Those who don't know what religion means and what pure religion means is totally and absolutely ignorant, or void of Biblical knowledge. Therefore other resort to what they called "true brotherhood" or "human righteousness" - meaning they appear righteous to man's eyes.

Many people forget the true analysis of life. What is righteousness in man's eyes when someone out there is wrathful unto you? Most parents, especially the conservative ones, are angry when their children dishonor or stain their family name. In that concrete situation, people don't look at the mirror's side. He only reflects his own posture, not knowing the Invisible Hand of the Intelligent Designer as proponents of "Intelligent Design" prefer to call the Creator and Owner of the Universe.

"Too quickly the Biblically illiterate often speak without first analyzing." But this does not apply to christians, because they don't think when someone, other than themselves, ask questions.

And it shall turn to you for a testimony. Settle it therefore in your hearts, not to meditate before what ye shall answer: For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist. (LUKE 21:13-15 OF THE KING JAMES VERSION OF THE BIBLE)

For those who are just beginning to read the Bible:

Best regards,

Enton

True Religion - 01-09-2006, 10:26 PM

I agree, there are those who claim to know about religions but they are ignorant to all but their own. I consider a true religious person should be fluent in several religions other than their own. Maybe if religous leaders would find a common ground( I believe to be Spirituality) then maybe they can lead their lost confused people to a better understanding. Religions have alot to offer but they are not offering it.Our scientific knowledge is still in its infancy compared to what there is to know. Religions seem to be stuck in newborn.

I generally tend to agree with what you've written above.

furthermore I would say that the one true mode of thought is this common ground you speak of but it is a common ground not only amongst religions, but amongst any and all modes of thought including science.

You are so right, science must be included. When religion and science begin to collaborate on a serious level, I feel many answers will come to light.
