Okay, we won't go there. but back to your identical twin (I assume you're not talking fraternal) example. Yes they are formed when the egg splits, but does this mean they live identical lives? and have one soul between them?

Now we are getting into stuff I'm not qualified to answer. Twins have raised questions in research forever it seems. They often end up behaving alike when raised apart. They have little common telepathies that are interesting. But one soul between two people. No, they require twice food and clothes, etc. I vote the spiritual requirements are as if there were two souls. We don't feed twins and cut a sandwich in half. You make two sandwiches. That is an oversimpification but it is the best sense I could glean from whole subject today.Originally Posted by harmonygirl

Twins have two individual souls.
They are just placed there as consequence of the previous life.
They were souls that were similar in the previous life, that they both have similar consequences. The only way to achieve these consequences is to reincarnate the souls as twins.
Yes Soul Doctor,
I think you may have a point there. If two souls incarnate together into the same family,at the same time,do you feel they have some life lessons to each individually learn? And if so,what is the ultimate purpose of this learning? It suggests to me that these souls may have planned this trip together, knowing that this particular families future will place them in the position to learn these lessons.Do these souls know the future before incarnation? Just a thought, but how cool if it's true.
Hi Ag....well we have got two battles going on in two of the threads so we might as well start a third eh...
When I studied the thought system concerning the idea of reincarnation and then took that study and merged it with my study into ancient astrological (psychological) thought systems and then merged it with Milmans Pythagorean study into The Universal Numbered Life Paths I was simply astounded as to the connections that crisscrossed through these three systems of thought. It was not that they inspersed through similar wording or anything like that, it was the similarity of meanings which I derived from the examination into the three systems. Although I always remain somewhat removed from what I study, I have to admit they explain alot of delicate matters in life which we struggle to understand like why does bad stuff seem to happen to good people and if there is a God then why is there such human atrocities in our midst...
The study left me really wondering about the diversity of human events and left me even more curious about the meaning of life than I had ever felt before...

We are essentially one anyway, since we all observe the same universe. We do not know exactly what other people are thinking in the same way that we do not know what we will think in the future.
