By illumination I do not mean the light in the head. That is incidental and phenomenal, and
many truly intuitive people are entirely unaware of the light. The lightto which I refer is that which irradiates the Way.It is "the light of the intellect",which really means that which
illumines the mind, and which can reflect itself in that mental apparatus which is held "steady in the light".

Illumination reveals first of all the existance of glamour;it provides the distressing contrasts with which all true seekers wrestle, and then gradually it floods the life to such an extent, that eventually glamour completely vanishes. We see things then as they are-
a facade hiding the good, the beautiful and the true.

The opposites are then resolved and consciousness is superseded by a condition of
realisation of Being,The technique of Light becomes a permanant condition.

    regards michael.

This unity you speak of is recognized in signs, everywhere. It can cause almost a paranoid delusional feeling, it's not recommended for everyone as it can cause thoughts as low as suicide or make you feel higher than the sky. I mean everywhere, you cannot escape it, you hear it and see it all around you, on tv, radio, other people conversations. Anyway, after it all passes (which can take up to 2 years), you are normalized to it and lots of it you are not a part of anymore. It's as though you go back to where you started but with a different sense. You must be in complete control of yourself otherwise an experience like this can hurt you physcially and mentally. YOU must not let any of it take too much control of you. But usually when there is a very low low, something high usually happens next. It's just your mind integrating everything into yourself.

I think a lot of the signs are decieving and sometimes I wish I didn't follow that road. But if you do go with the signs, be prepared for a very bumpy ride. At the end you will be sorry and wish you hadn't taken it. Only because it leaves you more alone than united.

    Re: Illumination of the Way.

    You are seekers of truth.

The tree of knowledge has its roots in the truth. The trunk represents the truth. The limbs and branches represent divergence from the truth. They are yet knowledge, but beware, lest you accept divergence from the truth as true knowledge for then you are on the wrong path.

Fortunately the trunk is stout and strong. Truth is solid. In your search for the truth you will find that knowing one truth makes it easier to know more truth. The more truth one knows, the more truth one can know.

Baudrunner, by your comments you imply that you have true knowledge or else how would you know what is or isn't a divergence from it ?

As we advance on the path, the higher energies grow even more important to us,because
only through their action on us can we find real transformation. And by becoming an instrument for the decent of the higher energies into this world,we serve not only our own
soul, but also our fellow travelers through this life.

Energies characterize the stages of spiritual development. The pure-hearted occupy a
spiritual station of a higher energy than the rest of us.

When we are more deeply present,we live in a richer, more substantial, and more truly
satisfying world than we experience with a perennially scattered attention.

A man called Saul, later became Paul, destroyed followers of "The Way". Acts 9:2. He reinterpreted it and formulated his own way into confusion. Once you find "the way" there is no turning back. An understanding of the importance of the whole becomes clear.

    Re: Illumination of the Way.

illuminating post michael, i realise that this is almost a year has passed since your initial post however i would like to discuss your stament concerning glamour.

"reveals first of all the existance of glamour" and then ..."eventually glamour completely vanishes"

i would argue that neither completly realise 'absolete potential' but reach and 'almost' critical of loop back.

i have been working with this idea/notion for some time now with bith 'thought excersises' and in the physical dimension, with (what i would say (a moderate succes rate) (i guess))...

    kind regards

    michael

Thanks for the interest Michael,I actually have two threads here on the forum dealing with
Glamour, you are invited to check them out.

We are all immersed within an ocean of glamour,it is a difficult task indeed to cast it
aside and see with any real clarity.
