To see the detail of work that others do its just amazing. We all seem to be attacking the same thing from different angles and they all make sense to me, well for the most part. Some people are offended by others while some disregard what they read or are hearing as complete hog wash. Personally I don’t like challenge, not here to win any thing or set any type of goals. I just put my two cents in, most of the time hoping for some constructive feed back, which most either are reluctant to give or just don’t have the time. Other just don’t understand me at all.

Rethinking I guess I am discouraged. Not by any point that I might be making but by the reluctance or disapproval of working with a thought I might have. There are a few people here whom I find to vary intelligent. Perhaps they find my comments to be, simply stupid. I work with some really stupid people and I’ll not waste my breath on them because I’ve tried to tell them things before and they’ve disregarded my suggestions time and time again, so no more. Yet with each new person I give them the same chance the same respect as all the rest. But I guess perhaps I’m getting older and things aren’t sinking in for me as well as they use to. Perhaps I just cant trust what I read from some one I do not know and have no idea if they hold any type of credentials. I guess that would be aggravating to some one smarter then I trying tell me something over the internet.

Any how. I just posted this I guess to state some doubts. But also for others to see things from my perspective. I know they are not me and don’t know or understand every thing I do but maybe some how they can relate and perhaps give some consideration to something I might have to say. Perhaps not but whatever. Communication is the number one policy no one knows unless you say something.

Since, I am not very intelligent. I guess I wont find any of your comments stupid.
I don't know why you have doubts, but then again, I should know that by this time. Because you have explained clearly why you have doubts!!!
Since, its a discussion forum. There naturally are going to be arguments and misunderstandings, as not everything everyone says can be understood.
But, usually from my observation, arguments happen when people become kinda saturated with their own ideas and are not ready to accept others ideas(unless they are of the same kind and say the same thing). And as you have said, there are intelligent people who are aware of their intelligence and proud of their credentials or qualifications or whatever.
I don't mind any of these, because if they are intelligent or stupid, they are human. To err is to human. But, people don't like it when their mistakes are pointed out. Some accept, but some don't. All these are not for us to decide, we have to just choose which is right, with whatever tiny intelligence we have. And to choose we ask questions, so that we can understand before we can decide.
So, I don't know if anyone is ultimately right or not, I don't try to find out either. I just assimilate ideas(not steal them) and try to understand them.

Right or wrong or right or left or top or bottom or forward or backward are some of the abstract directional invariance properties that we use to describe physical things. But bear in mind that no one can simultaneously visualize all 8 directional properties. At the most we can see only a set of 3-direction, for example: right-top-forward.

You know I just get down from time to time. From misunderstandings to lack of knowledge. Many things weigh on all of us. Some times what people are really looking for is some attention, whether its putting down some one or acting out. I think every one wants to be understood, I just get discouraged when I cant see the light at the other end.

Not every one can see things in a complex manner I from time to time cant keep track of where I’m at in all of the complexity. Yet I guess I was brought up to think every one can. I’ve learned over the years this isn’t true and that people quit because they don’t have the time to help every one. This becomes an issue of conflict with in me and causes much frustration. Just as when I got out into the “real work” after graduating to find older people were not smarter then I. That people didn’t keep learning the older they got, that idea also threw me for a loop.

Its just strange how some people can grasp concepts better then others. I could never fully understand the English language and still to this day cant spell worth crap. I can tell some times what people are going to do but I cant tell what they maybe thinking. Again another source for doubt with in me. I also know I am stupid, I could do much more to alleviate this problem but I never intended my stupidity to be some one else’s problem and don’t want to be blamed for it. I’d much rather remain quiet but I have another conflict. I don’t believe saying nothing is good for any one. Like I said communication is the best policy.

Yeah I’m confusing sometimes because I’m holding back some reasons and some thoughts but I’d rather not this topic be completely about those things. I’d rather it be in general. A learning tool perhaps, and both of you have so far given some perspective. Thanks.

Then it is the place and the time to stop soul searching and start researching the TOE that makes sense using accepted physics and mathematics. These could be ones that no one had ever thought of.

Greenbug, I admire your straightforwardness. You are like myself in that regard. I have always been that way, it comes mostly from having a Father who is the same way. I also have felt as if some in here might treat me as a stupid person. But guess what? I do not care if they do. Why would I want to waste my emotional stableness on such ludicrous behavoir? I used to in my younger years, and I was only happy to let someone know what I could do to them if they so much as kept insulting me. I guess with age comes wisdom, even for myself who is not a holder of credetials.
I do however have the experience. I am not going to carry on with that any further. Not wanting to bore the reader!

Tarina.. I had a discussion with some people at work last night. They feel sometimes I put myself on a pedestal by saying things like “I was reading physics books at 10” and so on. One said it is a sign of insecurity because those who are secure of them selves don’t need to say such things.

I admit this is a good point. Yet I don’t feel as if I’m insecure about what I know. I feel sometimes as if I have no one to discus my thoughts with so such remarks from myself is more of indulgences. Sure who doesn’t want to feel proud of there accomplishments? Yet my friend says I have no credentials so what accomplishment have I made? Just to feel as if I know something is good enough for me, the correctness of these thoughts is a process.

He also said that I often make remarks that physicist maybe wrong or that I know more then them. First of all I do not know more then them I never would say that. They spend every day grading papers, reading books, working in labs, writing papers or books. Spend that time moping floors so who knows or understands more? I agree with the point if your not thought something right the first time you will often revert to that information even if it is wrong. In colleges it is the students job not to speak up and say what they think is wrong but only to accept what is being taught so they can pass have credentials then they can speak up about what they think is wrong. So who was telling me about fundamentals? (rhetorical). I believe relativity isn’t understood by most people properly, but perhaps its me I do accept that point of view as well. However I’m not going to find out in a school but in my own time.( I do not mean to make them feel small or insignificat either, its just small talk for me)

I agree to this… In all I agree with you too Tarina.. I don’t want others to dislike my comments or remarks.. But I also feel as if I don’t say any thing I will never learn by hearing others perspectives. So I may speak and be wrong, I maybe corrected and not like it, Others may not like what I have to say.. But I will not stop of this I am arrogant and ignorant about. Choose your battles, bahh I’ve never been a conformist either

If life were broken into subjects, I'd say I've learned more science from/through my kids. They are so passionate about life my eyes pop open to new stuff everyday. They ask me a question and I say, "I don't know, lets look into it"!

Never really thought I'd find much interesting digging through scat, either (we really did that)... learned a lot.

As to where thoughts come from..Sometimes I feel as if some subjects are procreated threw T.V., radio or the internet. Some people think alike and some of us come to the same conclusions. But when timing is concerned it is down right strange sometimes.

I’ve thought that perhaps telepathic events maybe connected to spooky action at a distance. Perhaps even if a series of atoms or molecules in our brains are set up just the right way, due to memories or current thoughts, that perhaps they relate by commonality. Its interesting but I’m not sure about the details either.

Any how.. It matters more to me how some one has thought of something then who. For indexing or categorizing I guess it is useful to know who has brought it to every ones attention. But to truly understand some one else’s thoughts and be able to communicate with them to exchange memories or ideas is more useful. Teach a man to fish rather then giving him the fish. How to think of something rather then telling some one what is truth. “details don’t matter” bahh never believed that either.
