Because of the above:
"The high" amount of major storms predicted for hurricane season will hold great weight, a natural dose (OR NOT) of greenhouse gasses .... lots of porous rock ... particles, nice warm water vapor. Storms will have really great micro-structure and will be very strong in mid-summer. High powered weather. Three "devastators."

What little I know about the ocean, like everyone else (ha!), fresh-water from the glacial melt will help slow down the pump-action caused by ... salt ... I think ... will cause more evaporation and maybe a few record high sea-temps in that region. You know the north Atlantic current ..... dada-dum!

Coincidentally Meem…my son-in-law is presently on a work project in Germany and is now stranded there and unable to get back home to family…

He just contacted us and said virtually hundreds of thousands trapped in airports as the Safety Foundation shut down all immediate airports and incoming and outgoing flights.

He is in a somewhat better situation than most travelers because his company willing to pay for the inconvenience and harbor the cost of his hotel until such time safe flight is determined.

With so many recent earthquakes and the most recent the China Earthquake it seems the tectonic plates in the earth and oceans very unstable right now and possibly both affecting each other—as my son-in-law said, if he gets back home to family he may have to rethink the amount of overseas travel his employer deems necessary, also he said the eruption greatly effecting the environment and breathing…he is trying to stay indoors as much as possible….

Nothing like getting the situation from the so-called horses mouth…lol…

Hi Meem. I read the article. It looks like the issue is, do we trust the military top brass to defend us or do we trust congress to direct the Pentagon as to how to defend us? When you say this will become real, which outcome are you predicting?

Hi Meem. I read the article. It looks like the issue is, do we trust the military top brass to defend us or do we trust congress to direct the Pentagon as to how to defend us? When you say this will become real, which outcome are you predicting?

It will be a battle-wield with fear ... based public opinion. It appears congress has struck a fairly critical blow at this point. However, I would not put it past anyone to throw some hail mary. "I'm an American independent, I don't trust anyone." In the end, I think congress might be able to pull it off ... even if lots of people are angry at them. It's a conservative issue ... protection, and all the fear why we need it.

I would not doubt that there are"organizations" of people trying to actually execute some of the worries, but where I would raise question is, after the last economic ...pitfall, would any "World-Power" want to rattle the U.S. economy and hurt their own revenue again? It appears it's not only our concern if such attacks occur, but as well their own. The scary thought is, someone doing that with a cocktail of crippling infrastructure systems attacks. A "really good one," shutting down the majority of systems we use to do business and live. "Cyber/apocalyptic," type fear potential there. Not to mention all the secrets. I am sure those secrets are hard ... to not want to look at, so maybe they should endeavor one of the people that have pulled it off as teenage-foolery to beef it up. Who knows if it will become "real" cyber-warfare or not. But I assure, we will be afraid and they will get their money for it. It could bounce back to the pentagon, with a bit of luck and a strong arm.
