Physical life in a human body is all I've ever known.....

This is how it is.
Everything that happens on earth is basically the same scenario, event, repeating itself over and over again.First of all we're born, perhaps we might suffer some unpleasant childhood diseases,then we go to school, then we leave school, then we go to college, then we leave college, then we go to university, then we leave university, then we get married and have kids, or we might decide to stay single, we fall in love, then we fall out of love, then we become heartbroken, and wonder if we'll ever be happy again, then we get a job just so we are able to pay our way in life.We may buy a house, we may buy a car, we may get into all sorts of debt,we may go on holiday once or twice a year, then we might get ill or be victim of a terrible accident that may disable us, we might even get struck down by some awful diseases like cancer, or we might get depressed, or we may have mental problems, then one day we reach old age and we retire, then we die suddenly without warning or we die long and lonely death, and when we die, we come back to earth as another human being, and this carries on for all eternity?Quite frankly, the thought of doing this for eternity, scares the flipping hell out of me.If there is anything else other than what i've said above, I'd like to hear your story please?

Then we watch endless crap on television, day in day out, we read rubbish on the internet, and in the newspapers.
We see images of war on tv, in newspapers and magazines or on the internet.
We see violence and suffering not just to humans but animals too in the world on a daily basis.
We see under privilege children living lives of torment and abuse.
We see people hopelessly dependant on drugs, tobacco, and alcohol just to get through each day.
Some people are half starved, while others are too fat to even move.
There are people without money struggling to survive, while other people have too much money.
We live in a society where it is dangerous to leave your door unlocked or go out on your own after dark.
Everyone is looking out for them self rather than each other.
Happiness is like a butterfly the more you chase it the more it eludes you.
Crazy people are roaming the streets doing crazy stuff to other people, like shooting them dead in cold blood, or lopping their heads off with swords.

In absolute truth we cannot be alone for we are all,but in the relative state that we are all in at the moment we can most certainly feel alone and be alone,Ihave felt this many many times,however in times of great wonder and when we are in awe at the splender and majestic beauty of creation we feel united with all there is,love is indeed the glue that binds us all together.

Where I used to live in the UK I was careful never to venture out after dark,because the high street in the city where I came from seemed to be full of drunken yobboes shouting and swearing at the top of their voices,most unpleasant and threatening.While here in Turkey in is the complete opposite,I feel perfectly safe here walking alone at midnight.the only drunks I have ever seen here are british tourists,never seen a drunken Turk in twenty years of being here.

My wife and I feel much safer here than in our own country!

I know the feeling only too well Melanie,who the hell wants to keep coming back here? Well strange as it might seem we do! We do I believe though have a choice,we are not forced to come here it is by agreement.We can remain in the other plane of existence if we want to,but real growth and unfoldment only really happen here in a world of such vast contrasts,and differing mental and emotional expressions,where you can have in one room a being who is spiritual,and one who is grossly evil,this cannot happen on other realms of existence,only here can such differences be allowed to coexist in the same space and give rise to challenges to be overcome.
I have felt mel-ancholy many times,and can identify with this feeling,the good news is that it does not last too long though.

Hi michael, and many thanks for your support, I do appreciate it.
It's the other realms of existence you speak of, that I'm more interested in, but I do not know of these realms.
All I know is this earthly realm, which is a volatile place. I still can't imagine why we'd choose to come back here, I can't get my head around that.I've seen some children with terrible bodily injuries, one child had his legs and arms blown up he was from syria and caught up in the war, did he actually choose to live that experience? It doesn't make sense to me.

I'm happy for you and your wife living in Turkey. Which is a muslim country.Muslims hold high moral standards.

There are many countries that adopt zero tolerance against crime and disorderly behavior, which is a good deterrent.The uk is too soft on its citizens, and have much to learn from countries that are strict.
