Though I agree that the wave function provides a great deal of insight, it fails to be able to stand alone as a unification principle. You must know the substance and its fundamental properties to link the entire spectrum of the physical universe. Waves will not do that until you know their actual roll in nature.

I think you may be a bit premature on the use of TOE as your book title. That's a big claim to live up to.
Can you leave out the history of physics and give a short-form explanation of you concept?

What Is Waving? - 10-13-2005, 04:51 AM

dleviwing,

Max Born took away the physical importance of waves and replaced it with probability waves. This was at a time when electrons, protons and neutrons were viewed as being pointlike. What is interesting about the wave function is that it does give us some insight into how the physical constructs of matter are behaving. When electrons "jump" to a higher energy level they move away from the nucleus of the atom. There must be an underlying geometrical reason for this and waves do possess the ability to explain this behavior. Unfortunately, de Broglie's waves were positioned going around the nucleus rather than going through it. If we allow his matter waves to be connected directly then the nodal points along these waves would behave exactly as the electrons do when they gain or lose energy. You see, I believe our picture of the atom is fundamentally flawed. This is why we ended up with probability waves. A truly probabilistic atom wouldn't create spectral lines.

Superstring theory uses the right idea but has not utilized this basic principle. I do believe strings are the fundamental construct of matter but we have not utilized their most basic geometrical advantages very well. The figure-eight I refer to is a symbolic representation of a standing wave with a nodal point at its center. I see this idea used in twistor theory, knot theory, topology theory, cosmology (toroidal universe), particle physics (Eightfold Way), chaos theory (Lorentz attractor) etc. But I've also seen it shown to be true in laser experiments. About 5 years ago, electrons were observed making figure-eights in the presence of a high-powered laser. I wouldn't have given my book its current title unless every discipline of science was using this single concept to demonstrate their theories. This idea is therefore not an original one. Rather it is a concept mankind has been using since the dawn of time (ie., ying-yang). Let me know if this helps...

Thank you for your response dleviwing.

Infinity;
I'm sorry, you have not stated anything that I did not already known or understand.
As you said, "no new ideas". I can only assume you believe the TOE is already developed in our current gauge theories. On this I must disagree.
You may wish to study that laser experiment a bit more before attributing great significance to it.

No New Ideas - 10-14-2005, 06:02 AM

dleviwing,

Yes, it is true that the ideas for a TOE are already out there but I feel that historically we have not put these ideas together in the right sequence. Right now our view of the atom is quite convoluted. We don't have to have a probabilistic universe as defined by Born's probability waves. However, the way the model for the atom developed historically didn't leave any other choice. We are therefore left with a frustrated and illogically based understanding of the atom.

Remember, If we turn de Broglie's waves 90 degrees we get an entirely different quantum mechanics. The geometry of these standing waves take on a greater physical significance. That is because spectral lines would no longer be viewed as being formed from a probabilistic interpretation of quantum mechanics. Think about it, an entirely new quantum mechanics could be developed. That would be cool...

Infinity;
I am in agreement with much of what you say about the interpretations being made by our Standard Models. This is the purpose for creating this thread. I am attempting to show that by interpreting the data according to our current paradigm of reality, we are becoming enshrouded by the abstract nature of mathematics itself.
Reality can be describe with the use of mathematics; we should not allow mathematics to define reality. We need a paradigm of reality that interprets the data correctly.
As it stands, looking at the wave nature of matter is only one of the blind wise men's view of the elephant.
You are right however; all the pieces are there, but they are mostly manmade pieces of which the number is countless. If we use only the pieces provided to nature to create this universe, the number of pieces can be counted on one hand.
Best regards;
Dave

My question is what is a single de Broglie standing wave? I'm going to draw some graphics that there can only be two distinct-singular-standing waves. Be back with these images asap.

Time independence: [∂E(g)]²=[∂F(a)×∂r(a)]·[∂F(b)×∂r(b)] and Mass independence: a(tr(t)=c²

For an illustration of 3 standing waves is the following

For two distinct singular standing waves is the following

Time independence: [∂E(g)]²=[∂F(a)×∂r(a)]·[∂F(b)×∂r(b)] and Mass independence: a(tr(t)=c²

If the planes of propagation are orthogonal to the transverse vibrations then the two distinct waves should look like this

Time independence: [∂E(g)]²=[∂F(a)×∂r(a)]·[∂F(b)×∂r(b)] and Mass independence: a(tr(t)=c²

Thanks Antonio for the website address,I have a question with regard Exotic
matter and it being used to stabilize a wormhole,can this really exist,exotic matter,and if it does,is that the only possible explanation to stabilize a wormhole!Would be grateful for vyour thought on this,

kind regads michael.

To establish existence, these exotic matters must be able to interact with other matter that we know of. So far, none of these theoretical exotic matter have interacted. There is one thing that is shared by all matter whether exotic or normal and that is energy. Quantum vacuum fluctuations produce an equal amount of virtual electrons and virtual positrons whose products are virtual photons. But these photons just as quickly as they are created disappear forever. There is no method that I know of capable of harnessing these infinite energy reservoir of the vacuum.
