Exclamation evil: not to be entertained - 12-03-2005, 06:56 PM

What should we do about evil? We should not entertain evil , because entertaining evil is the only thing that validates it. This means we cannot banish evil, because it will only come back to haunt us twice as bad. We cannot try to punish evil, because then we may become evil ourselves. Evil tries to beget evil, but evil will fail if you know that two wrongs don't add up to make a right. Thus evil seems tricky, but like the truth itself, if you know the trick, you have nothing to worry about. Simultaneously, if you have nothing to worry about, you know the trick. And that is the trick! Thus the answer is that you must forgive evil, and this is the only thing that will make evil good again. It sounds like a contradiction that we should forgive evil, but it is true, yet another example of how truth=inconsistency

And so Lee's interpretation of the incompleteness theorem is proven yet again. A testament to the fact that he sees the truth like no other man before him. Thus we should all hope to benefit.

Subversion, what do you consider to be evil and does it have a place in a TOE?

Could it be the inability or the deliberate choice on the part of some matter to not follow the laws of nature? Could it be the inability to follow a predetermined way that is good and decent and proper? Shouldn't we want to know what begets evil? I think evil exists outside of everything and should be set aside for destruction at the first available chance.

According to everything, evil is nothing. Luckily for us humans, we are the perfect species.

There is a beautiful dichotomy to life, in which positive and negative are mutual. So is the cup of life half empty of half full? Well, let's look on the bright side shall we.

We realize, that if we believe strongly enough, positive thinking will overcome negative thinking. This is the key to salvation.

evil=nothing. In other words, evil doesn't exist if you don't think about it, it's just a figment of our imagination. Evil is just a misunderstanding, an incompleteness of thought. The only thing evil is the idea of it, and it's just a hollow idea we came up with. It's just about as hollow as the idea of nothing. According to everything, everything is the only thing which is good and nothing is the only thing which is bad. So badness exists by not. Goodness exists by yes. Thus we can conclude what is important. There is only one thing which is important according to everything. Evil is not important. Does this answer your question? If not I will speak more later.

Good and evil do not exist in absolute form. They are perceptions of actions based on your upbrining. What constitutes good for one culture is unthinkable for another. Good an evil are colors, a way to classify interactions, beneficial or detrimental to your society, your group, your tribe.

Actually I found out something that people would find universally evil: time flowing in reverse. Think about it like this, it's not coincidence that heavy metal bands and the like use recordings of human voices played in reverse in order to sound scary. Have you ever noticed that a recording of a voice played in reverse sounds like your listening to the devil? This is not a coincidence, this is because our instinct tells us that time flowing backwards is wrong, and evil. So evil does have a scientific basis. Evil represents the antithesis of how reality really works.

So anyway, do you agree that it is universal that a backwards voice sounds evil? I think hell would be living in a world where your time arrow was the opposite of everyone elses. You would see everybody walking around backwards but they would see you walking backwards. So you would be going into their "past" as time advanced for you. Thus they would think you were evil and they would shun you because everything you did in the future would effect them in reverse fashion plus you'd be talking backwards and sounding exactly like the devil. If you wanted to interact with people you'd have to do everything in exact reverse in order to "trick" them into thinking you were not an evil person sent from reverse land to haunt them.

Your example of backwards music playing to demonstrate evil time reversal is quite a leap.
Eyes without pupils or lack of eyes look evil as well. We identify and measure personalities with eyes, so a lack of identifiable features appear scary. Is this also a sign of evil?

If you think there is absolute evil, then your reality will include such a thing, since you preconceive evil as an actual entity. Objectively, the cosmos knows no judgement. The tribe we are part of judges, grades, praises and punishes in accordance with the established rules of society as developed through evolution. If you were raised by wolfs then your conscience would be that of a wolf.

I want to clarify. Evil is the antithesis of everything. Evil does not exist in the natural world. I live and uphold the natural world therefore I know that evil is really just nothing. If we ever did anything to cause our time arrow to be in reverse to everything else's time arrow, we would have acted unnaturally and we would suffer the consequences. Evil is not by nature. Evil is the opposite of everything.

Evil is a pathological condition of the good.
