Hail, Puff, Dragon Master,
You talk the talk—SeSe kiitos, while puffing away and frolicking out to sea, the Pacific.
The Yin/Yang duality arises from the invisible Tao, it’s positive energy creating the virtual matter particles coming fore, but, they are coming apart at the seams, because the black structure is a 15 year old graphic that I made back in the computer stone age, and because the negative energy annihilates them, retreating aft as rays back to the Tao in one of eternity's instants.
I think I just accidentally pictured Nobody’s Theory of Nothing while fiddling with this graphic; some things are easier when you don’t try, for then the universe flows through you.

"The five colours can blind our eyes,
The five sounds deafen our ears,
The five tastes exhaust our appetites,
Chasing desire can drive us mad,
Therefore,the Tao person
Seeks inner wisdom,
Lets go of excess,
Affirms the truth" (tao 12)
As Lao Tzu said,"chasing desire can drive us mad"research has shown that sensory overload produces symptoms very much like schizophrenia.Too many people race off in a
dozen directions at once. They eat, dress, work, and play with no center.Losing sight of the
whole,they succumb to fragmentation,illness,and exhaustion.
The dragon center lies within us,its fiery breath will burn away the layers of illusion, and
expose the true light of reality.

Pray would you be kind enough to tell as to what is 'common' between 'Duality,Tao, East & West' or what these terms stand for or what is the purpose of clubing them in one thread? As for as the philosophical content of these termonologies is concerned, there is hardly any commonality between Duality and Taoism or East or West ? It will be a favour if we are made to understand as to what 'East' stands for in the eyes of the West? ls. is confused with these 'adjectives'. Please don't misunderstand, the query is genuine and coming out the heart of a learner. love & regards.ls.

Dear r.p.bibra:
The intent of the thread is simply to point out the reciprocity of what is often perceived as antithetical opposites.
Western Civilization is reputed as outwardly materialistic, Eastern Civilization as spiritually disembodied.
Yin & Yang are perceived opposites which mutually support one another - the philosophy of Tao. The I Ching espouses the the Tao. The Western counterpart for every action having an equal and opposite reaction. Etceteras.
The objective of the theme of (apparent) opposites (duality) is to call attention to the mutually supportive balance - and relative parallel dependency - of many apparent and often misunderstood opposites.
Best regards,
