"Love is the self-givingness of the Aware/Universe/God through the desire of Life to express Itself in terms of creation."
As long as it's a lovely creation, then more power to It and you, Allen.
Very true on both counts I would say, Pat.
I am only trying to convey, as I was with Cosvis, that rejecting Jesus' advice or accepting Jesus' advice is accepting our own. In other words, with or without Jesus, you would love your neighbor for some innate known reason I would gather.
Put it this way, Pat. If you had the direct experience of love, would you love your neighbor even if you had never heard of Jesus?
I've been metaphorically "off the Planet" for a while so just touching base - saw this comment and think It's one of my favorite ideas and hardest things in the world to love our neighbour (the difficult ones).even if nobody ever said it - it is something we all need to do.
Hi Tina;
Glad to see you're back and posting.
It was actually your profound statement that made me realize that first I needed to believe in God's love for me before I could pass it on to friends, neighbors, and yes even enemies. Without that true belief I was faking it.
Best to you,
Pat
