It wasn't long before these groundbreaking thoughts spread throughout the world, I was inundated with countless private messages(1) and the ChatBox roared in approval!

However their was a change in the framework of my logic. Throughout the ages as my ideas floated around, they became skewed, and misinterpreted. Lets look at one instance of a heated debate that arose over my thoughts. These two people have wished to have their alias' remain anonymous, so lets assume their names are 'Tina' and a professor named Pat, who we will shorten to 'Profpat' for your convenience. READ FROM BOTTOM TO TOP.

Profpat: I'll second that, KiGs get started (See what you started KiGs)
Tina: I DEMAND a Forum topic to discuss the PotaTO-E - (KiGs get to it!)
Profpat: And I believe that in the many eyes of Mr. Potato Head all potatoes are equal. Don't you agree.
Profpat: Just because you're a hot potato Tina and I'm cold mashed potatoes doesn't mean we are not equal.
Tina: But some people are raw potatoes others hot potatoes or mashed, or like KiGs couch potatoes - so the TOE is not solved!
MJA: Indian Proverb: It is good to pray to God, but row yourself off of the rocks.
Profpat: Once you know you are a Potato: no more ego; no more false judgements; no more holier than thou attitudes; no more savior complexes.WE ARE ALL EQUAL POTATOES.
Profpat: Now if we could get everyone to realize that Truth, the world would be a much better place.
Profpat: Everything = A Potato = TOE. We are all equal potatoes
Profpat: Given A= Everything and B = A Pototo and A = B Than Everything = A Pototo
Profpat: = Potato = Everything. It will be a far better world and universe once everybody realizes that they = POTATOES. I finally understand. Thank you KiGs for this beautiful insight

But what if? If everything is interconnected, don't we all have a little potato inside of use!

What a great idea for a thread. I am cold mashed potatoes plopped on a couch. ( not a very attractive image I know. )

My thoughts is this; since pototoes are made up of protons, electrons and neutrons; and you and I are made up of protons, electrons and neutrons; therefore, you and I are potatoes.

The syllogism goes like this: GIVEN (P) potatoes = (p) protons,(e) electrons, (n) neutrons; and (p)(e)(n)= ( H ) humans; than P=H. and we are all potatoes, or is it all potatoes are human?

I have to think some more regarding the equality of all potatoes. My gut reaction is that we are but I would like to prove it logically.

Well I'm still thinking about the equality of all potatoes, and while I was thinking, I said to myself, self I said, isn't it nice to be growing safely in Earth's womb. Unlike the tomatoes, we don't have to fight for space or sunlight. I'm safe within my own little earthen hole.

I don't like sweet potatoes, but I do like Mr. Potato's dictate " Don't ask, don't tell " Besides are they really potatoes?

I read this in Tina's 'Root of All Evil' thread and I feel it needs a reply!

Are potatoes Evil. They are a root.

Two words.. potato famine. If potatoes didn't decide to make themselves so tasty and easy to grow would a problem like this even occur? I doubt it! But what does this say about potatoes in general, was it only a certain area of potatoes that harbored such malicious intentions, or are all potatoes evil?

This I cannot answer. But because the potato has provided a lot of nourishment over the years, and since I have to eat a ton of carbs.. I naturally gravitate to the amazing taste that only a potato can provide (Rice can only go so far!).

So in this way the potato is good. Unless its plans are to get me hooked and then disappear at some inopportune time.

Who knows?

I also believe that the potato is closer in touch with the framework of our reality than our minds are. But then again so is a rock, but wouldn't a rock be a potato too?

Our minds would be a potato as well, but the product of our minds would be different, more in the lines of creating potatoes.

I'd rather be picking the eyes out of potatoes than the brains of great philosophers like yourself....but if you must know I am a SWEET potato!

However there is a fundamental problem - we are all Potatoes with Adjectives describing us (raw, hot, sweet, mashed, couch etc) But it's those darned Adjectives that cause the problems...............Like see Profpat's post - he is causing division and inviting prejudice by saying I DON'T LIKE SWEET POTATOES

It is not the potatoes fault that it is genetically endowed with the quaility of tastiness...we must distinguish between nature and nuture stuff.

And yes everything is Potato-e so AGAIN Profpat was wrong is segregating TOMATOES....I'm giong away for a week but I hope this Forum can help Pat grow in his Patatoanity.

I'm semi-teasing a member of the forums so don't get too irritated at my new sense of grandeur.

Oh and it is true that adjectives on potatoes change everything. But potatoes are all made in different ways, and making distinctions is how our brain functions. Perhaps it would be helpful to find out why our brain makes these distinctions, or what led them to do it. When you analyze the functions of computers and the functions of our brains they excel in different ways. The computer is better at large mathematical calculations and processing speed, while we excel at pattern recognition. From a young age we categorize everything, and so we are quite good at it.
