    Re: The Truth of Faith

Michael, you more than anyone else should know these manisfestations, very likely are not real, but are illusions, and therefore does not represent the truth. The truth, if there is such a thing would be on the absolute unmanisfested plane. No movement, no relativity, just pure isness.

Quite so Pat,but as we are deeply anchored within the relative universe, this is what I was addressing, manifestations are symbols of the enigma of that which IS!Absolute truth is at
present stage of unfoldment un-knowable to us,however relative "truth" which we all deal with,is much more understandable,as we are at our surface level RELATIVE and therefore
so is our understanding of truth also RELATIVE!

    regards michael.

Among nearly infinite "maybes" are that God gave out falsehood in what He formed, or that, unknown to us, the Devil beat out God and gave us illusion.

It just so happens that if it's an illusion then it's a perfectly usable one in which we can operate and Descartes and his reveiwers can say stuff.

Not sure how life would be different if we didn't exist.

I know some people might (illogically) go wild if they thought everything was a meaningless, but stable dream.

Hey Austin my dream includes Linda so it's not meaningless, rather it's kind of nice, even if it is an illusion. I like being an effective dreamer.

Michael I agree with your most recent post.

I think Plato may be right in his analogy of shadows on the walls of the cave. It's not really true but gives us some images though faint, like through a glass darkly, of what the TRUE AND ABSOLUTE REALITY might be like.

    Best to you gentlemen,

    Pat

A projected illusion is probably harder to maintain that it is worth. No real particles mean projecting them just right and maintaining the properties they illusively have and then eliminating the disruption of the projector beam… it's just a mess.

I sometimes think that life is a 4th dimensional movie. We go to our 8th dimensional blockbuster and rent a movie called Austin or Pat, which is really 3 dimensional frames, and then our spirit travels through it giving us the feeling of awareness of that character. At the end of the movie, when that main character that we selected dies, the movie is over and we say WOW that was a good movie, and then we rent another.

I hope I owe a bunch of late fees (for the drama of Tim) by the time I'm returned.

    Re: The Truth of Faith

At least in this stable waking dream, stuff remains where I leave it, unlike in my night dreams, where even the backgrounds change, too.

So, since all is workable, this reality is usable as a place to be and to be able to be is to exist.

Because you think or believe this reality is usable doesn't prove it's existence, anymore than thinking proves your existence.

Again the mathematical proof of the standard model, is that it's all an infinite number of massless nonexistence point particles. And that model may indeed be correct.

You Austin, may be a nonexistent point particle.

    Sleep on that one.

    Pat
