So, lately I've been hearing more and more about "global Geo-engineering" ideas. The more I hear, the more I get extremely uncomfortable. Posed solutions for climate-change, this and that. With what little we actually understand about Earth systems, is it really a good i-deer' to go messing with stuff intentionally? Haven't we done enough on accident, indirectly? Reduce first, that's it for now guys. Once you have better working theories, and models that actually match real world data. Just stick to pouring over the mountains of data, keep pushing for bigger-better computer time, better modeling software, and devote time to reducing what we keep adding to the problems.
Generally, do you find anything unsettling about large-scale Geo-(re)engineering something we know very little about? We haven't even really scratched the surface of the correlations between all the systems out planet has. The idea, I think is well meant, but .... the road to that place which doesn't exist ... is paved with good intentions?
Is the precautionary measure necessity here?
