I think that man is stupid. He says there is a dimension for logical interactions, for cause-effect interactions, for living beings, for thoughts... Too many stupid things said. Although the problem is not saying stupid things, that is allowed. The problem is when they have no base at all and are just ridiculous, like these.
Although the Oxford scientist's proposition was interesting and seemed more realistic.
Whoa Guille. Haha. Opinion appreciated! Yea, I just read that article and thought of it as an interesting concept. Although I do think that thought as a seperate dimension may have some validity (hypothetically that is!) but only in the field of metaphysics (which is still a branch of physics). Anyway, I enjoy your reaction to this article. It's why I thread them, to stir things up.
Much appreciation,
Tesla

I always have considered the reality of thought. I think it is the most important thing now. In fact, understanding the mind is the key to the TOE, in my opinion. And this is proven by the fact that the only theme which unites all sciences now is the mind. It even puts together social and exact sciences. Now I'm starting to read a book by Husserl (a german philosopoher, inventor of phenomenology) about the relationship of mind and time, which will give me lots of thoughts for sure.
Dimension refers to a property that can be quantitatively measured. As yet I know of no quantitative measure for thought and thus thought is NOT a dimension. As Guille said, some people are just plain stupid or ignorant.

What about an IQ test? Is it not fair to say that it's a measure of thought?![]()

Lets not be stupid.Perception or observation is of course a dimension in relation to the event. Thought is not a dimension in the realms of physics.
Oh Telsa
I just read this nonsense of 33 dimensions. This happens when you are blinded by your own knowledge. And many more to come. Bull$#%^.
Dimensions are the basis of our perception. They are not some hidden things in the universe.What is not comprehensibe to human mind or calculable mathematically is no knowledge

What are the units of a scale of thought that the IQ test is measuring - intelligent units?? What do the numbers mean??Originally Posted by Telsa
BTW: If it was a measure of thought it would be called a “Thought Test”. It is an “Intelligent Quotient” test.

David,
Surely you aren't saying that all thoughts are the same, are you?

Telsa;
Thought is a bioelectric-chemical-organic process of our neurological system. The process is the same for all living things that have brains. The quantity of activity varies among species and among member of the human species.
I’m not sure what you are referring to as to me saying something is the “SAME”!
