What's happening about Podkletnov's impulse gravity beam? - 02-19-2004, 08:26 AM

I have checked for progress on his work over the Internet and found nothing!

So has he made this up and fooled everyone, including Boeing, NASA, BAE ... who jointly have spent over $1billion dollars researching the effect. Or has he gone into secrecy with his backers and continues to develop new technology in this field.

So if he’s wrong it’s no big deal, it was an interesting story.

But what if he’s right. What new technology would result from his beam that could in theory produce 1000g or more? The beam is only repels matter and acts tangential to the Earth's surface (it has no vertical component)

Here is a list of what could be possible in the future.

1. Aircraft could be accelerated to say 100g along a runway, and continue to be pushed as it climbs. However the effect of the beam is only repulsive and acts tangential to the Earth’s surface.
2. The beam could be used as a weapon. A military version could accelerate soldiers into a state of horizontal free fall or even amputate their arms and legs. It could cause planes to crash; alter satellite orbits, which could cause them to burn up in the Earth’s atmosphere.

Any country developing such devices would have a range of new technologies that could threaten world peace. What would happen if the GPS and satellite communications systems were disabled?

If any one has any news of Podkletnov's research, please let me know.

I haven't picked up on any new developments on Podkletnov's work for almost a year now.
Either, the subject has died, or some serious stuff is going on in secret!

If his work was false, we should have had some news by now. So my guess is something must be happening!

Some news at last (4 August 2004), see

http://www.pureenergysystems.com/new...nov/index.html

Even though he keeps his work secret, I do believe his work is genuine and not a hoax.
His early work focused on a vertical beam that produced a weak gravity reduction effect.
But his later work on a horizontal beam produced a much greater gravity effect. It is likely that the horizontal beam could produce enormous forces that could accelerate objects at high g's (gravitational acceleration).

This might be a topic in itself.

Recently Podkletnov discovered that the effects of a high-voltage static discharge across the generator's superconductor ceramic disc
are propagated along the beam many times faster than the
speed of light. He has measured the speed of these pulses as being approximately 64 times faster than the speed of light.

If there is ether through which light propagates as a transverse wave at speed c, then longitudinal waves should move at speeds many times greater than c. This is analogous to water waves – transverse waves move slowly across its surface, whereas longitudinal pressure waves travel hundreds of times quicker.
It looks very much like Podkletnov has detected longitudinal ether waves, which are possibly the fastest waves in the universe.

Podkletnov effect update:

Scientists funded by the European Space Agency have measured the gravitational equivalent of a magnetic field for the first time in a laboratory. See
http://www.physorg.com/news12054.html

They call this effect the "Gravitomagnetic London Moment", which I believe is a follow on from Podkletnov's work.

They are confident their results are genuine " We ran more than 250 experiments, improved the facility over 3 years and discussed the validity of the results for 8 months before making this announcement. Now we are confident about the measurement," says Tajmar.

This is not good news for General Relativity, because it doesn't allow for gravity to be produced by a machine.
