    Wormholes

Wormholes and (especially) white holes are theoretical. Wormholes as described in cosmology are thought to be possible but completely uncontrollable and they would only exist for the briefest of instants. They have never been witnessed. However, a new member, George, does refer to the tunneling effect of photons in his experimental apparatus in a paper which can be found at his website:

as a kind of wormhole. The terminology is academic and I for one won't stand in his way as he certainly deserves recognition for his achievements.

I had considered them as more than theoretical in the early universe when objects were closer together, pre-expansion wise. Energy available may, well it was different. The sizes theorized range from the infinitesimal to the size of the unvierse.

This may represent a simple tangent that I went on. When mathematics predicts a structure, I wonder deeply about what we still don't know about the early universe, and what we still don't know about today. Look how long the universe lived with black holes before we came to understand that these things are real and maybe prevalent throughout the universe.

I don't believe in any manmade wormhole. But I do think that wormholes could have been structurally spectacular enough to have survived intact a compression to zero volume and subsequent reexpansion in the Big Bang.

I am saying that I believe wormholes to be a structural integrity of space, and space was created at some distant moment in the past. We know very little about this, I think, if we don't know about wormholes. This what is a hole discussion would be greatly contributed by considering the hole as as a structural integrity of space.

I haven't forgotten their theoretical status. My imagination goes a little wild when it comes to space. I'm not alone in this.

This is an interesting topic. For some reason this thread has slowed down. Lets restart this thread.
