The Fallacy of a Linear Time Worldview. - 05-17-2008, 01:57 PM

It is time to drop it.

One extremely simple point will make you agree.

In the Linear time worldview, it is stated that one can never fully experience the present, because of a phenomena known as the "flow of time". The past, present and future.
It is said, by the time you experience the present, because of this "flow of time" you are in the past.

There's only one problem with this worldview.

If one can never experience the present, and can only experience the past.....how is Progress made ??

Martin Marcel Haffner.

Those who make that statement are referring to our ability to measure or sense an event. At best it is at the speed of light and even light requires a fraction of time to be experienced and thus the experience always lags behind the present. I think you may be over analyzing the statement.

Thanks for this great thread..... IT's
Nice to see other awake people on the forum.
This is an off the cuff pure conjecture reply...

It is true we can never experience the now,
because creation is being born every nano second,
meaning that what happens now, has already past in the flow.
so the idea we live in the now is untrue in the absolute sense.

We live in our memory most of our lives, which is the past,
which doesn't exist, we can project a future for ourself, but that doesn't exist either,
that leaves us no-where and every where simultaneously.
Who and what are we then ?

We are pure awareness, boundless, timeless, expansive, potential
..... creation waiting to be created.

The past usually repeats into the future,
because we become bound by our limitational thinking patterns.
Repeating the same old mistakes.
You've only got to look into the past to see the future. So to speak.
We become trapped in the halls of time, a conceptual universe.

Until we step out of linear time ..
And we step into timeless-ness ... QM ......Eternity.

A leap of consciousness will be ''automatic'' taking us into the 5th or 7th dimension. Limitless.

From here there will take place a quantum leap in consciousness of love peace and equanimity and un-conditional love ..
It will take 5% of an awake population to cause this Quantum leap to occur .

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Horizon_problem

This is the creation, heaven god, ...Now.. it's all that there IS

Hope this makes sense, if not just reject it,

melanie.

David.
Well the thing is, I am over analyzing it?

Personally I don't think so. It seems to me a clear cut question.
If todays Science is telling us "the experience always lags behind the present" as you put, then how does progress happen, how does one make a conscious decision?

See my point?
Martin.

Oh it makes perfect sense to me.
What I'm doing now, is fully getting rid of the old Paradigm within my thought process.
It's a little resistant because of habitually thinking that way my whole life.

It's an fascinating journey, and I'm making huge progress.

Martin.

I already answered that supposed paradox, that I brought up for you, on another thread Martin. It's what attorneys say as asked and answered. Why would you want to bring up a new thread, when one of your prior threads introduced that same question.

Best to you,

Pat

Right.
I'll go to that other thread and see if it's answered in the way I phrased it here.
Thanks.
