    Isaac Newton

Issac Newton was known to be malicious, vile, cruel and selfish. This was true but it was for the sake of mankind. Not every genius has to be kind or gentle or understanding. Do you agree?

I agree, speaking for myself, I am the most nicest nastiest person I've ever known

And as William Shakespeare would say:

" Genius to madness is near alike; a thin partition divides them both "

Hmmm, no, hawkingfan1, manly because if he was malicious, vile or cruel, it is the humanity who say him this way. He was just trying to be helpful may be (I don't know), but, people misunderstood him. It can happen sometimes, like Copernican theory was not accepted, and he was also labelled as a bad guy, wasn't he?

I agree with you and have discussed this subject with my teachers and friends!
    What did they say?

    Re: Isaac Newton

He was indeed malicious, when another mathematician came up with calculus before newton, time he went to the royal society which was a bad idea because Newton was the head of the royal society and did not publish his work and newton published his own work instead.

Well Joshua, You left out that he was also a homosexual Brit; not something well accepted in his day.
I understand that Hawkings is also an arrogant SOB!

BTW: you might mention the other mathematician was Leibniz.

I'm something of a jerk at times, when do I get to tell people to call me a Genius instead?

Stage Manager: No. *pauses* The physicists and mathematicians, maybe they do some.

    Dear Dleving,

What are your reasons for the assumption that ProfHawking is an arrogant sob.
