On the contrary, mind controlling is happening constantly. I will myself to sleep, to eat, to learn, to action, etc. Mind controls over other minds are also happening constantly, in school, in newspaper, in TVs, in political speeches. Minds can be easily controlled through sights and sounds and less often through touch, smell, and taste.

Furthermore, if something preoccupied my mind, I cannot sleep until the puzzle is solved.

what you're talking about is mind controll on a partly basis but you're not able to 100% controll your brain by "yourself" or with any device (even if it is just a political figure) - sure if you would be able to do that i think most of your personal problems (+++) would be solved .....

Of course that my brain (actually the mind, not the brain, for the brain is part of the body) controls my body.

But, if I'm wasting energy, it wouldn't be because of my mind, because the mind thinks and is the one that is trying to safe energy, if I waste energy it is because of the body's failures, like not being able to bend 360º degrees and several other limitations of the body.
