Arrow explain the brain which does claim to explain - 08-21-2005, 03:56 AM

go straight to question #1 if you want....

human initiated discussions, theories or so called scientific evidence might only be understood by humans and their brain and DOES NOT have any universal meaning as we can guess if we look around. sure it helps us humans on tiny earth on a day to day basis and streamline evolution.

but please stop discuss/transform/transfer knowledge (or whatever) emerged from the past (even if just 1 second ago from now) - if only one human being ever is getting close to something universal then sure time will "pass by" quick and human race might then know everything. and impact may result in laughter and "nothing" after.

sure you may discuss so called physical matters which we do need to discuss but don't assume you're working on something universal. it is definately the WRONG approach.

if you do think you know something universal why to make it public via a forum, the media in general, etc.? why don't just show everything/everyone what you know and what you can ... should be easely achieved by then ... or keep it for yourself for a while and play around with 61 cygni or colorize some black holes ...

as the past has shown: god in dressing-gown in connection with baby jesus or similar fantasies as currently from so called scientist which claim to know how "our" universe might work tooo often results partly in stupefaction of human race. rather use a logical approach ...

i'm definately not a pessimist - i'm quite the contrary - i'm just not turning over and over my mind in the past - even if i'm not going public with any of my theories (at last this are just theories and shouldn't influence any other mind especially if that mind is "hold" by a younger individual compared to me) about anything universal - i'm certainly willing to discuss matter or i'm willing to ask questions in this forum:#

put please no answers like:

einstein said or a publication from last week found evidence, etc. (in general do not use anything from the past)

just use your own(!) mind and explain exactly to me (as far as you can) how do you think your brain does come to this conclusion.

i also ask rather simple(?) questions ....

questions #1 coming soon if you want ...

project your mind somehow into the future while you type ... (don't fall back in time over and over again)

I hope you do not take offence with the term pessimist, I find most skeptics like myself are also pessimist to some extent. In order to find the truth, you must question everything, event the academia.

I agree that scientist like Einstein and Feynman are quoted too often to attempt adding some kind of authoritative validity to an otherwise mediocre work.
What is even more annoying, half the time they are misquoted to support the text or idea being presented.

Ask your questions or give your comments and ideas; that’s what the TOEquest forum is for.
Best regards;
Dave

question #1:

suppose you (?) (and not your brain) have your (?) body (including the brain again) completely under control.

how to get as fast as possible/as close as possible to that chewing gum which lies (or even sticks) on the ground in front of you (?) which you (?) just spotted while walking around - and stopped walking now - so standing - overall most important: don't waste "your" energy

+++

hi dave,

i certainly do ignore any offence which some people might think is offence - if you saying pessimist to me then that certainly is NOT any offence - give it another try - best regards,

undef00

The chewing gum is not worth wasting time, energy, or thought.

but:
as for me there is no you - there is a brain - one for you and one for me - plus: for everything else which claims to exist

artificial intelligence is not about getting a computing device to simulate a human being but getting both somehow working together synchron and embedded. either my brain on top of intel or intel on my bottom and connected to my brain. so don't waste your time again!

sure-that is nothing new. but not so long ago i spent some time in this kind of silicon-only intelligence ... i certainly stopped that now!

Stating you are referring to AI changes the nature of your questions.
To the mature human mind, the chewing gum is meaningless.

When referring to AI, you are confronted with the reasoning power that is less than that of a newborn infant.

My only experience with AI is with missile guidance systems, so I'll leave this thread to those more qualified in computer programming.
