As I was saying, David - or began to say...
Physical light and spiritual light seem to form a continuum corresponding respectively to continua of space-time and faith-knowledge, themselves corresponding to empirical science and a priori reasoning, so that on the level of empirical science we plod along on a micro level, while by religious faith (not merely Christian, by the way, though Christianity potentially contains the fulness of truth), we can soar to a level of divinely infused knowledge, inspiration. Hence, Einstein's theorising and the eventual confirmation of his most important work by empirical testing, and the pedantic, plodding, clay-footed secular fundamentalism mistakenly taken for science by its adherents, such as Dawkins and your good self.
Never mind. It'll all come out in the wash! |
