Intelligence informs me that I am experienced,so that I can use that intelligence in a
experienced way, thereby gaining wisdom, and eventual freedom from the bondage of
self?

I don't believe that experience necessarily leads to wisdom (or else all nursing homes would be filled with sages) and even intelligence plus experience does not always lead to wisdom. It takes a certain kind of intelligence, and frequently the will, idea, and goal of becoming wise.

Yes, I believe i do have at least most of the answer to that, but one example would be to not do another person's thinking for him when the goal is to increase thinking skills. Besides, I think "What is Wisdom" would make an excellent thread of its own. Would you be interested in starting another thread to that effect, and listing some of your guesses? I don't want to hijack this thread.

So how does a mother know how to be a mother without past experience and no one to tell her? Instinct? Where does instinct come from, nature? If so, why aren't all mothers good?
