For me anything that has not been proven by Science till now is unreal. The day it gets proven, it is moved to the realm of reality...

Are you saying then Dip,that science alone has the answer to reality? And that you
are awaiting some boffin to tell you what is real?

Where is the real home of experiment Dip?

Re: Science 'versus' God?

Actually I would rather prefer to believe in the results of a proven experiment (science), rather have some body tell me something without any proof or backing.

Has the real meaning of life been proven by science? I don't think so! Therefore by
that criteria we do not exist? Who are we then?

Dipayankar;

There is a lot that hasn't been proven.

Such as God's existence hasn't been proven or disproven.

Is it a steady state or big bang universe.

Coginito ergo sum I think therefore I am, can really be redefined as I think I think.

Gravity only theories on it.

There really isn't a whole lot PROVEN out there including your existence.
I believe you exist even if its not proven.

Best to you,

Pat

The foundation of faith in religious Gods is equal or the same as the foundation of theories in scientific measures, both are only beliefs, built on past prophets or giants, lacking the strength of certainty, and void of the power of truth.

Once the truth is known, faiths and theories will be no more!
United by truth, mankind as well as the universe will be free!!!

The quest is truth, and the truth is one.

You know MJA I almost agree with you on this.

I would endow to the ONE the magical trinity of TRUTH-BEAUTY-LOVE. ( or was that truth-beauty-charm )

Best to all,

Pat

Re: Science 'versus' God?

Let me correct myself. I think gravity is proven beyond doubt. Big bang is proven to a reasonable extennt with CMB and all, as regards God's existance, since it is not proven, I have the right to reserve my belief in that concept.

Re: Science 'versus' God?

[We have the power to think, to will, to imagine, to dream, to speak, to sing, to dance, to sketch, to paint, to draw, to pray and to LOVE.

Our potential is unlimited.

We have everything in our hands and we can do as we please because God wanted to grant free will to humans that would help them decide their own future for themselves

Pl. tell us, whether above powers/potential/beauty granted to human beings are , “luck in gambling, unicorns, superstitions, evil spirits, ” ? regards.ls[/quote]

Spot on - So What gave us such bad eyesight?
And what causes the blindness? What does it mean that the blind see?
I'd like to invite you to comment on forum "What is the root of all evil?"

I'm not saying science created the universe. Science just explains it as far as their understanding. For all I know maybe who or what ever your God maybe created the universe. I personally believe the universe always was and always will be.
