I'm not saying science created the universe. Science just explains it as far as their understanding. For all I know maybe who or what ever your God maybe created the universe. I personally believe the universe always was and always will be.
You perceive that matter is infinite/eternal - nothing has ever come into existance that was not already in existance - it is impossible for something to come out of nothing - any "coming into existance" is an illusion based one the re-arrangement of matter. We humans cause nothing to exist - we just cause the rearrangement of matter. This is the reason I am agnostic rather than atheist - there is something funny going on! And the bible got in early by claiming God to be eternal. So you can see possibly but not necessarily God re-arranging matter at the beginning of the preperation of earth in solar system. It's all so wierd whichever way you look at it.
Science is the theoretical belief in the measure of everything, and religion is the theological faith in the measure of God. Then, science is religion, theoretical is theology, belief is faith and everything is God. They are all united by equality. But rather than the uncertain divisions of belief or faith, the theoretical theologies of science or religion, what is the truth of everything or God, what is the truth?
Science destructively divides everything by the uncertain belief in the measured difference of nature, the measured differences of everything. Religion has done the same. We kill everything including each other because of those same measured differences. Is God and nature equal, is everything divided or one?
The truth of everything is the truth of equality, and the truth of God is the same. The science or religion that divides, will have only uncertain destructive beliefs or faiths; the science or religion that unites, will have the light and health of truth. Unity is the truth of science, of religion, of everything, of nature, of God. Unity is the equality of all. Truth has no theory, faith, or doubt.
In my opinion there is no science versus god. God is something that always has been and always will be just as science will always remain. There are different levels of reality. There is the tangible and the intangible, the science and the god. I am personally not a firm believer in the bible, I think there is some fact to it but more fiction. However, I think there is a god if that is what you want to call it. God is the whole of everything, people don't stop to realize just how small we are and God is the big picture. God is just the collective reality of all that ever has been and ever will be in every reality, including science. The collective mind has limitless power.

I think science has to consider "infinity" as a valid description of universe. This is related to our understanding of matter. Matter as we understand it is in a constant state of flux - the changes we see are 'illusions" of things coming into existance - but are actually re-arranged matter. Something cannot come from nothing? The idea of first causes is based on the 'illusion" that things are caused to exist - but what is happening is they are being caused to be re-arranged.However Quantum's idea that something may come out of nothing is being explored.
There's no something to come out of nothing because something always was. Time is irrelevant as far as the Big Bang goes. There has no time, it operates in the eternal now. It has been creating, it is creating and will continue to create life in the universe. Time only matters to the matter that is continually being created by the Big Bang. Everything is moving, changing, evolving to the next thing and to the next thing, to the next, all over the universe and this has been going on and it will continue to go on. It is the Big Bang that is eternal, there is no competition between God and Science it's all one thing.
