Austin, you really are quite the poet and the artist.
I definitely lack your artistic talent.

Now to the point. Is it a deterministic or probabilistic universe?
My vote is with probability theory and therefor probabilistic.
This of course implys freedom and why we will never be able to predict with 100% certainty.

Isn"t it strange Austin that the bible was talking about free will long before science cought up on that thought with Degree of Freedom and Asymptotic Freedom. What is true at the smallest level is true at the largest level.

And so while my freedom is limited ( Thank God ). I do have the power to go against God's Will or against natures laws.

Consider gravity which keeps me firmly planted on earth, unless I use my magic power of the electro/magnetic force which allows my muscles to jump.

Now the laws of gravity will eventually win out as I tire of jumping. But every time I'm going up I'm following my will and not gravity's law.

Same with God: His greatest gift is free will. While it allows us to commit atrocities against nature and ourselves, considering the alternative of being a robot, I'll vote for free will, and if we have to have atrocities because of that, So Be It.

    Best to you,

    Profpat

The new 27 million dollar Creation Museum in Kentucky shows how all the species could fit aboard Noah’s ark. Never mind that some scientists estimate that earth contains 30 to 80 millions species, not to mention those now extinct.

There are dinosaurs aboard this ark since the curators say they were only about the size of sheep. Just like a toy poodle is a dog and a great dane is a dog, a triceratops is a dinosaur and a T-rex is a dinosaur, they needed only one KIND of dinosaur—so they saved space on the ark that way.

And, yes, the earth is only 6000 years old, they say. The great flood was 4440 years ago. Enough, you can imagine the rest.

What of the young children who see this museum and fall for it?

Here is my rendering of one room of the ark:

    (Free will)

The subconscious, which is the brain, formulates a thought, perhaps from an individual "simple" area, that says "I'm hungry" or "drive fast" or "kill that bad driver". Consciousness receives this thought after a very short time, perhaps letting it globally resonate back into the brain, which may come back with some "go" or "no-go", all based on who you have come to be.

    TRUTH,

The sub-conscious , which is Brahman or the Universal Mind, formulates a thought. Consciousness receives this thought after a very short time - of processing through the brain i.e. the complex computer - and comes back as "go" or "no go" based on who you have come to be.

Our power to veto these thoughts is derived from the degree of awareness we have of Truth. Truth is the Power. The more we are aware of Truth the less there is to veto.

I certainly wish that we can disband all the religions in the world and make all the people believe only in Science..

(The religious extremists are presently killing each other off and/or causing trouble:
Sunnis vs. Shiites, Protestant vs. Catholic, Jewish vs Islamic vs. everyone, Fundamentalism, etc.,
for the existence of others' alternate and conflicting beliefs lessens the credibility of their own.)
