In heaven the harps are tuned with and made of gossamer?
In hell the accordians are tuned with and made of asbestos?
(George Berkeley, 1710) ... lay the beginning in a distinct explication of what is meant by thing, reality, existence: for in vain shall we dispute concerning the real existence of things, or pretend to any knowledge thereof, so long as we have not fixed the meaning of those words.

I think it's more like Science versus' Religion because God is science. Basically science is a form of religion, it's roots are base on belief and theories until proven. Onces proven it becomes nature, apart of the natural flow of things that I identify with as being the conscious power of all things, God.
I still say God is God. Organized religions make no sense. While God is universal, God is also very personal. And so while I have faith and belief in God, its very specific and personal.
And nobody other than Me can join my religion. Sorry, you'll just have to come up with your own unique belief, unless you want to buy into a canned program.
And whatever you believe is fine by me, and you are free to preach it. ( I don't think Robert or the rules allow it at this site however ) And I'm free not to listen to it if I chose not.
And sorry Chazzysaw, but I don't believe God is science.
I believe:
Science is the study of (Gods) creation.( be it math, biology, physics, geology etc )Science doesn't create.
Theology is the study of God.
And organized religion has nothing to do with either.
Best to you Chazzysaw

I beg the differ, God is science. I don't know which God you believe in or how you describe your God's existence because there are so many interpretations. (I say this respectively.) Most religions describe there God as being omnipotent, omnipresent and omniscient. In your bible John 14:10 Jesus said " I in the Father and the Father in me". To me this means God is with in and with out of everything, therefore God must be everything including science. I have been asked many times why God made bugs or bats or how did God make the world. I do not send them to their bibles because these answers are not in there, I tell them to learn their science. My answer is always the same. Theology is the study of the Christian God in a bottle the teachings are limited. You have to go beyond to find a true truth. If your description of God is a bearded man sitting in heaven watching and controlling everything as a person then I can understand why your God is not science.
