What's The Difference Between 'God' & 'Science'?

Sorry Chazzy, I don't agree at all. Yes, there is the fact of incomplete knowledge, but science clearly shows all so far known, to be scientific, and thus a correspondence logic would show the future holds no un-scientific surprises, when compared to the past, and that's the scientific facts. And furthermore, god has nothing to do with science, nor science with god...

What's the real and/or imagined difference between 'God', and 'Science'?

Well .... Bearing in mind that both their comments are being taken out of context to the original thread.

I think that every single sentence by Chazzysaw is a statistical fact.

I think Lloyd's second sentence is a logically deduced fact and basically agrees with Chazzysaw. But his third sentence has nothing to do with it logically speaking. I don't know why he brings it in.

Until we can create life in a laboratory, I don't think the semantics of this question can be answered.

    semantically speaking ... greg

    Hi:

I guess I don't understand the question. Isn't that like asking what is the difference between Plato and arithmetic? Wouldn't the better question be whats the difference between geometry and arithmetic. Or in our case WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN RELIGION AND SCIENCE.

    Best to all,

    Dear Prof:
Please consider that religion and God usually have very little to do with one another.

Whereas, God and Science are often closely related if and when not synonymous.

    Does that help any?

    Regards.

    Thanks for the clarification RP.
Given that I would think that God is the Creator and science is the study of that creation.

    Best always.

Re: What's The Difference Between 'God' & 'Science'?

    Hi Michael and everyone:

I agree with you Michael that we are all part of the One. But where does the One come from?
If we have a radius to the zero power that is defined as ONE. One point, no dimensions. The beginning point. Similiar to the theoritic start to our universe.

But where did that one point come from?

    TAO BEGETS ONE
    ONE BEGETS TWO

    TWO BEGETS THREE
    THREE BEGETS ALL THINGS
    (Tao te ching chapter 42)

So whats before the ONE answer the TAO.

Consider zero radius to the zero power.
Now we get what is called UNDEFINED, the VOID.

    "BRAHMAN IS LIFE,
    BRAHMAN IS JOY,
    BRAHMAN IS THE VOID"
    (Chandogya Upanishad 4-10-4)

Science tells me that trillions of neutrinos pass through my body every second. It tells me everything I hear and see and touch, indeed the entire universe, came from a point millions of times smaller than a proton. And that my body is as old as the universe.
And I believe it and in awe I say "HOW GREAT THOUGH ART"

When I see a sunset, or a childs face, a forest, the ocean, stars. When I smell the Earth, or my lover, or hear the falling of rain. I say in awe "HOW GREAT THOUGH ART".

You see I need a GOD to love and one that loves me.

I warned you that I am a theist.

    Best to all;

    Profpat
