Perhaps a good thing that we observe plants to be possessed of a different sentience than our own, otherwise Vegans would be horribly conflicted, and the rest of us also, quite possibly.

Still, plants eat meat, once it has decomposed into fertilizer, and it offends most to think that our bodies (and egos) will one day be pushing up daisies, at least on the observable 3-dimensional plane of everyday existence.

An interesting link with some DNA comparisons.

If you are looking for a new plant of which you don't have any seeds, where do you suggest to buy plants that are healthy and not overpriced? I am thinking of getting some for my garden but I'm not sure of how to go about it. Should I rather get seeds or the plant in itself? Do take into consideration that I'm rather new to gardening

Plants are very very intelligent,I have experienced climbing plants that if you place an upright pole near them they will make for the pole, latch onto it and start climbing, all that without a brain!!
