    Just saying hello.

What can I say? I'm interested in Theoretical Phycics which is my tentative major. I am planning on attending Case Western Reserve University Next fall since they offer a BS called Mathematical Physics Concentration for that particular major. Anyway I am also interested in Philosophy so you might find me posting in that forum as well. I guess I just feel that the intellect is the highest form of human perfection (obviously not my original idea) and i'd like to know as much as possible about the reality that we live in. Hence why I decided to be a member of TOEQuest.com

    Welcome

    Hi Passat,

It's always good to have newcomers. I agree that the best way of trying to acheive the impossible-to-achieve perfection, is by knowledge and wisdom, for this we make it up our selves. All the other properties of perfection are not mental but physical. And you will definatelly become a stone in our particular pyramid of knowledge, of which top we only know it is the TOE, but nothing else. Thus, actually, it is wrong to say that by looking at the past you will know the future, for we would already knwo the TOE by looking at what we already know. What do you think?

    Hi Guille,

I think we are in the right direction. I think within the past, our past, we have had select philosophers, physicists, and mathematicians lay the ground work for the foundation we are working within and around. I believe that it is possible for us never to achieve a TOE. But this may not be in vain, such as an unexamined life is not worth living. The same may go for the search for answer of the reality we live within. Also think about this. How unexciting would it eventually be if there were no more secrets of the universe/multiverse/reality. Would we even need to think? However I believe there are still more secrets to be unlocked which may possibly reveal yet more overwhelming question. I don't mind though because this is one of the things that makes life exciting and worth living.
