I'm new, this is my introductory question.

It's agreat starting question. I had thought about it before. And, my answer is yes and no. Yes because some do post to have validity, or to convince others, or to proof they know... No because some (including me) post to give the community ideas and thoeries, to read replyes so they can get ideas, to reply on theories their opinion or proofs/disproofs of them...

But basically the meaning of toequest is much bigger. yes, true, part of it is making validity and unvalidity of theories between the toequesters, for this is neccesary: a theory needs to be studied by those that have not made it in order to have a proper value. But there is more than that. There is a dream, a dream which is real for me all days: having the possibility to discuss about philosophical or scientific ideas either of myself, of others or of giants (of the disciplines and their theories). Also in it we can share ideas, learn, and teach.

Summarizing, it's about validation, yes, but aslo about communication, about knowledge, about understanding, and, primarilly, about the Grand Unifyed Theory Of Everything.

thanks for the reply,,,,I think your summary is accurate....it was just an attempt
to be provacative...

In point to the TOE,,,,,to me probably the most important quest, superceding
everything else....I know, there will be those who say, what about an answer to
starvation, war, death itself. There is nothing that can be done about any of these riddles.

In the end, Earth is only an electron in the big scheme of things. To something
so big, we have yet to define it. This quest, will be a big jump start.

Anyway, back to reality,,,,my wife just showed up and I need go....so later.

I agree, the TOE is the primary search of my life also, together with that of love, due to my age. But I don't search to solve problems that are there and must be there for the simple sake itself that humanity is there, because nature stabilizes itself, so if humans didn't have these problems, we would be too good of a species, so nature woudln't be stable, thus it gives us these problems.

I'm really angry now because real madrid has just lost 0-3 to barcelona, and we played at home, in madrd! It's been the worst match in decades.

I am here to attempt to state scientific facts in such a way that most anyone with an interest in science can comprehend the strange claims of today's standard physics models. Of course those of us doing this are the minority on the forum and often irritate those looking for validation and recognition to their misconceptions of physical laws.

David, Adel just said that he'd hope to meet alot of us. It's OK to say hello without the standard physics model in mind. That being said, there is a need for a keeper. I am going to keep working on my difficulty in conceptualizing the nothing that started the universe.

Since you voted validation then I can only assume you are seeking those with similar beliefs and philosophies to your own. I tend to protect the prey from the predators.

I am neither predator nor prey. I've been a bookworm for 41 years. I love space and cosmology. My background is Chemistry and Medical Technology. I had one physics course in college and it never left me. I even got an A in that course. My math skills are deplorable and I'm late in life to computers. I enjoy the conversation. People are serious, passionate, and mature around here. That's all I really have to say about it. From here I go to the Bookstore. That's just me.
