    Smile Journey of Philosophy

My name is Happy. I am currently studying for phd - philosophy, which brings me to this Website. As a new member I would like to extend a big thank you for having me here.

Philosophy wasnt always what I thought I would end up studying however, after studying management and psych - I became bored as the answers I was getting to questions I asked - no longer satisfied my curiosity about the meaning of existence. Through experience recently I discovered the current meaning of like is death, although throughout evolution - the meaning of life and existence seems to have changed constantly along with theories and beliefs.

I figure man has wasted time and space and come up with nothing relative, however Einstein seemed to think otherwise and so began a revolution of relativity and a belief of a unified feild theory of everything.

Scientists are beginning to unravel and even conclude that a TOE is possible. However what I want to know is why and it is my belief TOE will give me the answers I seek.

Look forward to contacting like minded people throughout this journey xxx

If so, it is the universe that has wasted it's potential on space and time. I don't think the universe is wasting away. We are in the arms of an angel at times. So share your space and time with us. It is the one thing we share and almost never agree upon. Isn't that odd.

    Hi, welcome here.

I believe that if the TOE can answer the why questions of existence and the world we live in, it should be philosophical. Scientific theories fail to explain the why questions.

If everything is relative then Im of the understanding - in order to figure out why we are here - philosophically - incorporates the knowledge time holds in existence already - now all we need is the space to use the wisdom gathered
with in which to find the answers? This question forms the general basis of my study.

Its not that i think the universe is wasting away - as i understand the universe is expandable. Yes we are in the arms of angels lol.

    Hello, Happy

When the truth is finally understood then we will find that philosophy and hard science merge.

You are trying to figure out why we are here. There is no grand purpose as defined by some intelligent planner that I can see. If you read my personal TOE theory, I have the posts labelled consecutively beginning with the TOE part one, then I think that if you accept that their explanations are plausible from the logical standpoint then I can encapsulate their meaning here for you from a more philosophical point of view for your consideration.

The Universe wasting away...hmm. In my description of the creation front of the Universe as defining a wave form and the various consecutive phases of the creation cycles beginning from a point of virtually infinite mass where time stands still and ending at the end of each cycle at a place of virtually infinite mass where time stands still then we have a description of this wasting away thing you are considering.

Somewhere in the forums you will find a discussion of hysteresis, something I learned about in electronics theory way back in 1976. Essentially, it refers to the losses due to a kind of friction of the electromagnetic field of a coil when a varying AC current is applied to it. These losses are quantitatively measurable. The analogy that I suggest is that all the matter created by the wave front of the creation cycle ocurs as the residual effect of hysteresis generated by the wave front. Creation only passes this way once, and ultimately all this matter will collide with that zero reference point in the end of each singular cycle of each consecutive Universe.

Very early in my TOE I discuss the anthropocentric nature of the Universe. There is no other reason that sentient creatures are here other than to provide that expression of the manifestation that consciousness is predetermined and that it is a predisposition in order to meet the contingency provided by the idea, premonition I call it, that originally started the creation process at the very beginning. Creation is a runaway, acellerating and perpetuating process because it is a staggeringly awesome and profound idea that anything would exist in the first place. In effect, we have without purpose or intent created this Universe ourselves from the very beginning and the fact that our Universe will eventually end leaving an immense void in its place is again just another expression of the fact that throughout nature we find a consistent pattern within any event. Remove the AC current from the coil and the electromagnetic field simply collapses in the same way that our Universe drags its residual detritus to a final conclusion when all that follows the wave of creation cycles to its starting point once more. It happens in one direction, outwards, and maybe there is some comfort in knowing that consciousness continues to express sentient life in a far-away cycle of that wave even though we do not have a place there after this cycle is complete.

Enlightening and chilling at the same time, as reality tends to be.
