hi everyone, it's harmonygirl. I have been interested in physics for quite a while and became really interested after reading The Dancing Woo Li Masters which led me to a few other books on quantum physics (including the Tao of Physics). Unfortunately, this is only a hobby for me, but I am interested in the way time is incorporated into being, or even how spirituality might be a function of being. I live in Vancouver, Canada.

Good choice of books and ideas. I too have been busy with the way time is incorporated into being, although currently I am evaluating consciousness in chaotic interpenetrating harmonies with material forms.

I see no significant different between spirituality and being.

If you want to post your ideas as a topic, we can discuss these things in their proper place and time.

So I am curious as to what specifically brought you to join this group - was it some intuition, or something happened in the world and you found your way here?

okay Mike 5, I am not sure I understand consciousness in chaotic interpenetrating harmonies with material forms. If by that you mean that on some level everything in existence gives off a 'hum' to form a profound harmony then I think I get it. Otherwise, I'm in the dark. I think that spirituality is a choice (or at least awareness of it) and being isn't. Ironically I came to this group while looking for something else that arose from a show on television (I was just curious about whether the storyline had any toehold in reality), but now that I think about it, I had heard about TOE in some book or another. Maybe it was just time (no pun!)

The 'hum' is I think possibly accurate and occurs in more and more of the ideas I have looked into, but it was not the focus of what I meant here. I have always been a musician and composer and hope one day to explain all as music, harmony, rhythm, but cannot get my abstract thoughts into words nor diagrams at all on that. If you post on this theme, I would be very interested to read your ideas in more detail.

Currently I am looking in the what we call reality as and interpenetration of two essences, and for now I label these consciousness and material form. And however chaotic, if this is in fact mechanics, there are also harmonics just too complex for our cognition.

I see you perhaps like to visualise ("in the dark") and from NLP training I discovered my thinking works actually without images at will at all, I use the more powerful sense of physical construction, touch, two handed and "digital" penetration of ideas into forms, so to visual people, nope, remind me to make pictures for you. The boundary between oil and water in a glass when you stir it, how about that, so the chaos has hidden structures within apparent turbulence, bubbles of consciousness incarnating in material form and vice versa... does that bring any light?

Spirituality as a choice, being as no choice, ah. So much to say on that one, but another day. It is certainly my experience. I distrust that it is actually that simple, but as experience, sure, and that helps me to love and live.

Yes I noticed that too. There is something in the air here. And if Harmony Girl had not posted so close to my topics of interest, I would probably have pretended to be a newbie female, change my language patterns a little, as an empirical experiment...

Certainly brings out a lot of mating behaviour in some people here

Thanks for the welcome, guys. I have been checking out previous postings and noticed many topics of interest. View from the centre might be fun to try, I have always been left of centre! Actually, I have been writing a story where one of the superhero's powers is that she can run as fast as the planet rotates, so that she works within time. Do you think the rotation around the central star would have to be accounted for to make time irrelevant?
