Question searching for kindred....

Hey, glad to be here. Anxious to read all of your opinions, theories and even assorted BS now and then is interesting (and there's plenty to be had of it at any given time in life). Simply reaching out to embrace whatever may come.....

Wink

We love a Beast? with a deep and twisted sense of humor. I think we have a package delivery from ACME Scientific, do you know a Wile E. Coyote? Please join us for more than you can stand of what was it we do, again? If we could answer that, we'd miss out on the fun of the process.Warm Welcome from everyone...

Quanta Gaia and Wile E. Coyote

thanx Michelle, know him? I live with him! my CC bills to ACME are astronomical. But it is nice to take the Batman suit or Rocket skates to work now and then. We tend to be vegetarians when no Road Runner available.

Beastly, yes indeed, I do seem to have a beastly curiousity and hunger for knowledge...seems like a good place to satiate my ravenous appetite, thanx for the welcome.
Along with being chosen by the coyote, I am also a lover of Gaia and I guess you could best describe my main belief system as 'Quanta Gaian'
I know, that certainly narrows it down doesn't it? lol but in essence I am open for all things logical, to me at least. Somewhere from the primordial ooze/mammalian uterus connection to Pi and the golden spiral lies us and all creation
the rest is open to interpretation....
any questions?
Any answers?

I'm sorry Coyote, I couldn't resist. I logged in alot of hours of Bugs Bunny in my teenage years. And the packages from ACME are my favorite part.

sacred spiral, magical math

ohmygoddess!!!, I ALWAYS say that or "ohmyGaia", often prompts a "who is Gaia" reply, hence giving me an opening.....(pardon the rather crude Gaia-opening pun)

I guess essentially what I mean by Quanta Gaian is I love nature, the earth, the nature of things, the physics of things, that mathematics are the language of nature, the ultimate proof of organization in the universe seems to lie in math. How the same mathematical sequence that is found in the spiral of the milky way and the spiral of a a snail shell and the spiral of a hair whirl on our head, etc are all the golden spiral equation blows my mind and that it's essentially all connected makes me feel a lot less hopeless about who i am and the humans around me, sometimes when I lay in bed and the fear of death comes over me, I think of the spiral and how it keeps going until we can't see it and it goes somewhere else, infinity in the centre and...i don't know 'exfinity' ? on the outside, but it continues and I feel I am a part of that, winking out of existence here but into existence somewhere else.
I love that the same emotion inducing hormone that is created when a human loves and cares for her child is the same hormone that any animal who raises its young creates and feels, to me is far more magical and wondrous than any fairy tale that Humankind has ever made up about creation. The answers are out there but the real fun is the questioning and seeking. Are you ever in chat? So far I have never found anyone on there but had a very confusing conversation with what turned out to be an AI!
These are some lyrics to my favourite song, actually the song I want played at my funeral, (which will hopefully be far in the future) right now I just really love dancing to it and contemplating it, but anyway, they speak volumes to me, hope you like them.
Lateralus Black then white are all I see in my infancy.
red and yellow then came to be, reaching out to me.
lets me see.
As below, so above and beyond, I imagine
drawn beyond the lines of reason.
Push the envelope. Watch it bend.

Over thinking, over analyzing separates the body from the mind.
Withering my intuition, missing opportunities and I must
Feed my will to feel this moment drawing way outside the lines.

Black then white are all I see in my infancy.
red and yellow then came to be, reaching out to me.
lets me see there is so much more
and beckons me to look through to these infinite possibilities.
As below, so above and beyond, I imagine
drawn outside the lines of reason.
Push the envelope. Watch it bend.

Over thinking, over analyzing separates the body from the mind.
Withering my intuition leaving all these opportunities behind.

Feed my will to feel this moment urging me to cross the line.
Reaching out to embrace the random.
Reaching out to embrace whatever may come.

I embrace my desire to
feel the rhythm, to feel connected
enough to step aside and weep like a widow
to feel inspired, to fathom the power,
to witness the beauty, to bathe in the fountain,
to swing on the spiral
of our divinity and still be a human.

With my feet upon the ground I lose myself
between the sounds and open wide to suck it in,
I feel it move across my skin.
I'm reaching up and reaching out,
I'm reaching for the random or what ever will bewilder me.
And following our will and wind we may just go where no one's been.
We'll ride the spiral to the end and may just go where no one's been.

Spiral out. Keep going, going...

maynard j. keenan you are a god

Cool natural poetry...

Great lyrics... reminds of of I feel the Earth move under my feet...I have just started composing and feel humbled when I read poetry of that sort...
I thought quantum Gaia would be the dissecting of Gaia into QM, which for me, ignores the magical symmetry you described but also the hum of all life meeting in a profound harmony. Maybe there is a way to see Gaia quantified, I just have a mind block about it...It's funny that you mention the spiral, I am creating a superhero who has a trispiral image emblazoned on her. I love the idea of spiral and trispiral is beautiful and enigmatic. Inclusive and elusive. Is there an outside to the spiral? by it's very nature, doesn't it draw everything in?
I am only in chat when we have a chat (there is one this Saturday at 1 pm PST) because otherwise it is just like the threads.

they are indeed great lyrics if they touch you. No one writes lyrics like Maynard...

but, dear one, never be discouraged or compare yourself to others because you know what? No one writes lyrics like Harmonygirl either!
Share?

I find perspective a fascinating thing, Harmony....I am somehow travelling a different way on the spiral because I see myself as the small beginning spiralling out as i learn and grow and experience until I "spiral out" I am flung off the outside "reaching out to embrace whatever may come"
wheareas you say you are drawn in...
either way we are travelling on the spiral and ain't it grand?
I have been searching maniacally to find the name of my fave crop circle that sounds like the image you describe for your Hero (i don't like diminutive feminine suffixes like 'ine' or ette' so lets call her a Hero)
I think it is something like "Miranda configuration" and I have been contemplating tattooing it on myself. i have a few tattoos which are talismanaic in nature that are beautiful and protectve as well.
I can't ffind the name but here is a pic:

this is an extremely powerful symbol. THree is a powerful symbol of Gaia and math combined. 3 more things I want to say here, bear with me hon, i get excited when my brain starts spurting lol.
I used to perform a female superhero sketch when I did stand-up regularly and it was very popular so I have a good feeling about your Hero. I think she will be successfiul. I have a comic strip I do as well called Flora and Fauna two earthly creatures offering a humorous look at the natural world.
THing 2; crop circles fascinate me. I have a theory some of them are electro-magnetic. i have seen similar patterns emerge with iron shavings around magnets. But I have no less appreciation of the art, and beauty which pleases me aesthetically and mathematically, for the ones that are Humanmade. (PLEASE, let's stop saying man-made and mankind! how childish and sexist to refer to our entire race by one gender, when we all know the differences are minimal and merely different versions of the same thing....clitoris extends and becomes penis, ovaries drop and become testes as a result of wolfian system signalled by Y chromosome...it's why every single mammal has nipples! but i digress...)
Isn't it rather silly that we think of things made by human as artificial?
are we not part of the world?
I know sometimes I wonder too. I can rejoice in a symphony or the beauty of the art we can create and say YES we humans rock!
then the next minute 4 men are trying to kill you for some crap you bought at the Brick....
digessing again...actually regressing sorry..
OK but i would love to know your thoughts, all of you....why do you think we call Humanmade things and Humankind in general artificial?
I don't appreciate a gorgeous web glistening in the sun any less because it is Spider-made
or consider an artistically crafted nest from a weaver bird unnatural because it is Bird-made..
why do we think we are not really part of the earth?
Is it arrogance and superiority?
fear of retribution from all we have harmed?
alien intervention?
I don't appreciate those crop circles any less if they are made by people. Wow, what an accomplishment.
I think we are children of Gaia...and even if we are some hybrid of alien and human...what is alien? isn't the universe all interconnected? Aren't we all part of some vast body?
Hence the Pans permea theory may not make much sense in that light...
get back, anxious to read your ideas and thoughts
had a third thing but have digressed myslef right off the train of thought...
lol
ok get back...

Cool trispiral, etc

I don't have any lyrics that are in sharable mode, when I do, I totally will share. I have a chord progression (blues rift) that goes: A,E, G, C, E (repeat) then, E,G,C,A,C,E. The trispiral image that I found that I am using is the one at NewGrange:

(particularly the three on the left). I prefer superhero. She is an immigrant woman from a Goddess centred culture but she moved here when she was 13 or so. I am still creating the background story, but suffice it to say that she ends up reconnecting with her culture through a female shaman that she meets and hones her powers which are powers of Gaia. She can travel as fast as the earth spins and so works within time (I have not yet figured out what the role of the centre star in the system is or if it would have any effect on her). Her costume is her wedding sari (I think) and is maroon and violet with white. She travels through the world and meets other superhero women (some of whom are superheros simply for surviving their culture!) and they form a loose group, each with different powers. That's a thumbnail. I don't know if I consider my tattoos to be talismanic, but they have definitely been life altering, in a sense. I have Om Mani Padme Hum (in sanskrit) over my first shakra and the Kalchakra Gao over my second chakra. I was planning to put the Om over my third, but I am no longer sure. Whenever I tattoo over a shakra, it seems to neutralize the shakra (?)
Love the pic, it gleams in a satisfying way. I don't know much about crop circles. ABSOLUTELY agree about men and women and the stupid habit of subsuming one in the other. I believe in reincarnation and think that sexes are irrelevant over the course of time, as we are both. I think that we refuse to see that we are all the same energy. I have heard the trees hum. I almost wept, it was so beautiful. I am sure that everything has a hum and they meet in a profound harmony. I guess this is my TOE. I only wish that I could hear it.
I agree about the arrogance of our species. I have a pet theory that we exist only to serve as hosts to viruses. I think that would be the funniest thing EVER! (given all our assumptions about our own superiority!)

Coyote, have buzz will answer...Mystery Not
I secretly wonder if the crop circle is in the negative, i.e. what was laid was the negative of what we see. Why complicate a perfectly good mystery? I, too, wonder how the clever creator pulled it off.

I am as true as I am false.
What am I?
