Hi all,
I'm Mark Schäperkötter, am Dutch, but have recently moved to sunny Spain for a well deserved holiday for a few years after having worked for almost 30 years as an art-director for an ad agency. Although not schooled in mathematics, physics or for that matter any specific scholarly subject I am a keen reader of (popular) science books and articles, including crackpot theories by enthusiasts. I'm not sure that I'm able to contribute much to this forum but will certainly try if it seems appropriate.

Hi Mark. I think you are like the mayority of members in these forums. Crackpot theories are interesting (sometimes, many are boring) but you must remember it's crackpot, even thouh if there might be some true ideas in them. Well, welcome here and I hope you enjoy the discussion here.

Welcome Mark, there are many members of this forum who are amateurs (myself included). I think our contributions help those schooled in these disciplines to think 'outside of the box' on occasion. Certainly, I have learned a lot and have had fun doing so! Look forward to seeing your posts.
