Hey all, BlakeLight here...
1) I'm from the US.
2) I found this website through a friend of mine.
3) I'm not so much interested in the theory of everything as I am in "gesamptkunswerk".
4) I've got an interesting perspective
5) I have an undergrad degree in political science and music history with minors in philosophy and economics. Currently I am pursuing my MBA with the goal of getting a job in E-Business sometime by next April / May.
6) I'm interested in electronic music production and how music can express 'universal truths' however arbitrary those asserted human truths may be. Im also interested in neuroscience, ubiquitous computing, video jockeying, and the developing space industry (think Virgin Galactic).
7) Haven't written any books yet. I think words and books are out of date. Just look at Cyberkinetics, a neuraltech business based out of Brown University. Thought will be reality fairly soon... sorta like Forbidden Planet - I am VERY much interested in the ethics of surveillance technologies and the use of data-mining in ordering and structuring 21st century society.
8 ) I have too many personal experiences to help shape where I came from... lets just say I don't believe in invasive neural technology for the average person just yet, but rather, I certainly find the notion of people with nano-tech computers forming the fabric of every item they own... to be both a liberating, and sobering, near-future reality.
9/10) I have no websites or publications... I'm just another young professional in the whole myspace/youtube generation.
Looking to meet some interesting people on here! Hopefully other professionals who share my same worldview and goals.
Cheers!
-BlakeLight
