infinite consciousness, I enjoyed your post.
what sort of meditation are you talking about?
simply following your breath?
oh, first time poster, this site looks great...

yossarian, click on Infinite Consciousness and you will find my post on meditation - it is the meditation practice handed down from all the Spiritual Masters such as Kabir, Nanak, Rumi, Hafiz, and others.
Breathing is the prana or bioenergy of the body - you cannot rise above the body using breathing or prana it keeps you grounded in the body.
In rising above the body you separate from breathing which continues to function automatically on its own. This separation from the breathing process is a wonderful experience in which you realize that you are a conscious spirit - an Unchangeable Permanence - independent of the body and its prana energy.

I was unable to find the link you mentioned InfiniteConsciousness...

And thereby the warm life of reason congealed.
A grain of wheat eclipsed the sun of Adam,
Like as the Dragon's tail dulls the brightness of the moon."

Is it possible that meditative states may open up worm holes from our world to the 11 dimensional real world
