    hello

    call me jeff j

    i stopped by "here"
on melanie's suggestion, hi mel j

so far, one potential "problem" with
    a theory of everything,
    as i see(s) it,
is that so much information is required ( to describe it)...
"solution": enjoy the process, be concise...
    p.s.
can anyone summarize for me what's happened so far?

    Hi Jeff;

Welcome to the forum. I see you have a sense of humor, which is always good to have.

I see where you already visited Tina's site on the root of all evil.

As you probably determined we are a diverse group here.

I am looking forward to your inputs on the various threads, and any you may start.

    Best to you,

    Pat

    Hi Jeff,

To summarize this forum if for the others I may, I would say it is a really hard working group of individuals that search diligently for a universal solution to the questions of mankind. Currently we divide ourselves by different beliefs, theories and faiths, but I believe that one day this group will achieve its goal to not only unite the universe, which will inevitably also includes ourselves. The solution to those questions, is the unity we seek. I think it looks just like this.

    Re: hello

Hello Pat, MJA, Melanie, thanks for the replies

"nothing is more important than a well formulated question"

    scientists ask them,
    poets answer them,

& looks like we've got both sides of the brain
    working in here, making connections,
(a hyper-developed brain has made over 100 billion
    connections by some estimations)...

    one wonders,
does the mind have an equivalent to
    the brain's two hemishperes,
is the mind making these same connections
through these connections of well-connected brains...

i find these on-line experiments fascinating,
like a supercomputer churning and grinding away,
but the human element makes up an
apparently unstructured approach to solution seeking,
sometimes the structure can only be seen later, when looking backwards...

but there is an apparent heirarchy or structural evolution to
the accumulation and organization of information,

information organizing itself towards what aim, what goal, what future?

    Re: hello

    Hi again Jeff and Melanie;

I would think so Jeff. I believe one side is verbal and the other side favors math. We do seem to have a dualistic brain, you know yin/yang, good/evil, etc.

I believe you'll find this to be an interesting forum and I hope you both stay. We have a few participating women Melanie, but too few. They have some of the more interesting questions and statements. And God only knows Jeff everybody and group could use more humor. ( A very limited resource now a days )

I would like both of you to view and review, ( if you so wish ) my Idea regarding the nature of things. I tried to develope a theory from strings to man. I think you'll find it interesting.

    It's located at:
it's 8 posts down from that post #40. I believe it's easy to understand, albeit somewhat speculative.

    Best to both of you,

    Pat

P.S. We have private messaging here so the two of you can talk in private if you desire. Or you can PM any of the members.

thanks for the pointers (for forum world)
and for the reply and link,
    i checked it...

this format makes it (for me)
    difficult to interact with...

i feel like an outside observer to your mind-works,
    but beyond that...
    i can't make a functional comment,
    yet...
if something arises in the mid-morn haze,

    hi jeff k,
thanks for the hello and reply...

E= mass (of information?) X speed of light (transmission?) squared,

    so one question is:
    does information have mass?
when it exists as light, it apparently does not,
but when extracted from the medium of light, or pure energy
to another form, it takes on mass or the mass of
    the medium transformed (on)to,
    disc, paper & ink etc...

but the information never actually has a mass of it's own, does it?
yet information can be about energy,
or energy can be released, stored, organized by use of information,
so what is the relationship between
    energy, mass, light, and information..?

it would seem that information must be implied (in) (that) great equation somewhere,
maybe information is (in) the equal sign?

if so, information is then equal to itself,
& also equal to both sides of that equation
