    ... g'day!

Well, this is a fine howdyado... finding the 'new member's introduction board after i've started making little ripples into what seems like a rather large pond...

My name's Ellie and i'm from the lush pastures that are commonly known as Scotland - some say wet, cold and broody... i prefer to say warm, welcoming and.... ok ok wet!!... i was emailed a link to TOE by a friend and have to say i'm mighty grateful to them... not sure i've got oodles of time to devote to being prolific but patience is a virtue so my mother tells me.

Introduction are hard aint they?... <frowns>... bedevilled with getting the balance right between wanting you all to love and adore me in the manner i've grown accustomed and sounding like an arrogant arse... What to say i've been described in the past as an iron fist inside a pretty little velvet glove - i refute that claim as bias!!

I aim to be respectful but often my sense of humour is interpreted as the converse. That said i think i'll plump for saying very little on the premise that what you dont know cant prejudice your impression.

Now the tricky part is over, i have some gathering questions....

    what is a zoint?....

what is the 'form' for using the thanking feature?

does my style of writing breach Roberts new policy? (introduced 2003)

where can i view the meaning of the grading system assigned to members? (i'm "in training" you see and i dunno what for, its a worry)

    questions, questions... so many questions!
Noah..... its about the water again....

    Hi Ellie;

Welcome to the toequest forum. I believe you'll find it as interesting and enjoyable as I have. Robert ( our fearless leader ) has provided a site for diverse opinions and a wide range of subjects.

As for your questions, The "thanks" is at the bottom of the persons post and if you enjoyed it or if they were helpful a thank you may be in order. I see you have already received 4 and you are a relatively new member. That means people like the post they thanked you for it. You can see who by looking it up in your zoints.

You can access yours or another persons zoints by taking your curser to the members name and clicking your mouse. Some zoints have a lot of information regaarding the member others like yours and mine are somewhat bare of information.

The more posts you make the further up the ladder.
My 6 degree black belt means I post a lot.

I think your writing style is fine.

I live in Michigan U.S.A. where they say wait 5 minutes and the weather will change.

Very best to Ellie. Enjoy and post your thoughts.

    Hi Ellie,

    I have a question too!

Does everyone in Scotland play golf at St. Andrews and drink dark beer for breakfast on the moors with bagpipe music playing in green plaid skirts?

    Welcome to TOE Quest,
